Heartbroken Taycan owner looking for advice on what's next

Beautiful, congrats on your perfect choice as model, variant, color and equipment. Although I have a 992.2 GT3 my best time was with a Base 911 as a daily. Sold (4yo/50k km) 95% on its original price ;) . The value of my '22 Taycan GTS is ca. 40% of MSRP... Next year I will definitely turn to...

What's the best alternative to the Taycan?

I just prefer the original, that’s all. Way too many design elements have been stolen from the Taycan. That makes in my eyes a copy.

What's the best alternative to the Taycan?

OP:"So - what do folks think is the closed EV alternative to the Taycan? I'm looking for a similar mix of driving experience/performance and prestige." Xiaomi has no prestige even between phones.

What's the best alternative to the Taycan?

    1. No EV alternative. Taycan is the best, as an EV sports sedan (driving experience and prestige minus reliability). 2. 992.2 Carrera S. Last of a kind (only ICE), that is a proven tech (turbo only). The entire 992.3 or 994.1 911 model range (whatever named) will be t-hybrid with the reason...

Fake gear shifts coming to 2027 Taycan (and big PCM update)!

Very true. And one of the factors that makes EVs boring. Somehow the Taycan never makes me (so) boring but still missing the characteristic of a nice sounding ICE after 7 years 3 EVs 170k miles as a daily too.

Next gen (second generation) Taycan platform is "locked" and coming late 2027

140kWh heavy batt. Ca. 1,5x bigger (and heavier) than J1.1. No go for a sports car.

Has Taycan Depreciation Changed the Porsche Experience?

Checking the list, only 6 Taycans has left from the 25+ that was available 3-4 months ago so the HU dealership successfully decreased the stock level and parallel with it rebates also decreasing, I guess. On the other hand I have been offered a new allocation with 20-25% off next to a factory...

Has Taycan Depreciation Changed the Porsche Experience?

Just give them a call never know. They have 6 of this on stock for months. I would target 8-10% off. On stock cars they can be flexible at least we are in the EU.

Has Taycan Depreciation Changed the Porsche Experience?

As I mentioned it is only for locals. Re-export is strictly prohibited, at least they try to. The car should be registered in Hungary under Hungarian Co. or residential address. The contract also includes 1 year sale stop...

Has Taycan Depreciation Changed the Porsche Experience?

Trade in value matters a lot. In Hungary, trade in is not so often 1/100 I guess. Anyway I got 8% off in 2022 as well.

Has Taycan Depreciation Changed the Porsche Experience?

I understand you... Unfortunately Porsche started to keep sells locally, so only for locals. I paid a price of it, since I could not extend my warranty in Austria, it is prohibited. And I think 6 months ago it was 10-15%. I paid MSRP for my GT3 in April, first (early) car. Now they have 4 on...
