The manual will show you the location of the positive cable connection, just loosen the clamp with a 10mm ratchet and leave disconnected for a few minutes.
Based on what others have posted it seems like the dealer connects the VIN to your account when they receive the car. There seems to be a different backend or communication issue preventing some of us from logging into the vehicle. My dealer told me at pickup that Porsche had to release the car...
Do you happen to know if the 12V disconnect provides an immediate fix in cases where it is the solution or it still takes some time to resolve after that? I've had this issue since I picked up on 6/25, neither this nor factory reset seemed to make any difference. PC support only offered a...
I’m 7 days in with the same exact issue. It’s super annoying getting the setup dialogue every time. Was told by the dealer to contact Porsche connect services. I’m out of town for the 4th and hoping situation is resolved when I return.
Did you get the update that was released last Thursday? Or is there yet another one more current than that? If so very curious why the Thursday patch was pulled - that’s what i’m currently on (took delivery on Friday)
I got this same email on 6/24 which is likely when my car arrived at the dealer. Picked up yesterday, my car was apparently one of the first at this dealer to get the AMB5 update. Once you've set up the app, the next step is to login with the ID on the car to make the connection. I haven't been...
Interesting. I was told the patch was ready but they were now figuring out how to push it out to cars waiting for delivery and then eventually all Taycans. No mention of the gasket.
Spoke to dealer again, he gave me the option to still pick up today but decided to wait for the patch to be ready, since I'm not in a hurry. Assuming this addresses the power loss risk, and hopefully does not introduce any new issues. Porsche is telling them mid to late next week but he's...
Just got the same update as @GRV - Porsche wants them to install the software update before I pick it up, and that won't be ready until anywhere from the middle of next week to sometime the following week...
Not a comfort to many on this forum, but if this is the case that would imply that power loss will not be an issue for the RWD (expecting to pick up mine next weekend). Not seeing any incidents listed for RWD on the NHTSA yet either, but not sure how many are on the road in the US yet.
