Me too. So far, based on reviews, the Cayenne EV is universally praised for being the best handling SUV. It has also been independently tested to have ~350 mile range at 70 mph by three respected YouTube reviewers. This range is class leading. Maybe the smaller BMW iX3 or Volvo EX60 P12 can...
I wouldn't even replace the fluid. Most expiration dates are either invented or overly conservative. Bottled water has expiry dates! You know, the stuff that arrived on earth about 4B years ago.
Wider tires increase the odds of incurring screws and such. Any serious cyclist knows pressure has a big effect on whether a tire envelops trash without a puncture versus the trash embedding into the tread then puncturing on the next rotation.
It's stuck in England and I'm in USA. It was custom built for me. Has the VIN from a 1979 Mini but not a single part remains. The body is 100% new and is E-coated like modern cars. Left hand drive. rear mounted Honda K20 (lightly tuned) with catalyst, 6-speed with LSD and lower numerical...
It takes longer to put the car on and off the lift than to do those visual inspections. That's 30 minutes including documentation time. This type of sheisterism makes me push harder for the manufacturer direct to consumer model like Tesla/Rivian.
My inerim daily until my Cayenne EV arrives is an Ioniq 5N. I went in with an open mind. I read all the glowing reviews. Turns out I hate the sounds, the fake gears. I, for sure, will be turning those "features" off.
That will be a compromised system but maybe for sure platform development cost sharing could make the product family profitable.
From an architecture point it is easier to make a 718 both EV and ICE. Motors and batteries in the same area. The schnozz is already the same.
I think the Cayenne EV will be a lot more successful than the Taycan and Macan EV. The Taycan has a very small addressable market. Maybe 15X smaller than the midsize SUV market (I'm in USA and a Cayenne is midsize here). The Macan is simply too cramped in the rear seat for a people hauler...
