    Take over steering problem

I get this error message every week, usually on the highway while driving in a straight line. A Porsche mechanic told me that the sensors aren’t in the steering wheel itself but located at the steering rack level... It seems that a bit of play in that part could be causing the message. I’m not...

    Turtle/Tortoise Icon

FYI, I ran many, many days below 0 F in the past 3 years without issue. I think it was just a bug or stuck flap. When I restarted the car, it was ok. Cars are not what they are used to be... analog vs digital era!!

    Turtle/Tortoise Icon

So apparently, it was a flap issue. Battery was not able to warm itself up because a flap was stuck open. Temperature was cold (-20C) and the car did this for protection... Codes were cleared and it did not happen again so far. I'll report back if I have something relevant to add.

    Turtle/Tortoise Icon

Got the infamous turtle yesterday. It’s pretty cold outside, but nothing exceptional—I’ve seen much worse. While traveling through a mountain area, I noticed that every time I hit an uphill section and needed more power, the dreaded "Turtle" icon would appear and cut the power. Once I got to a...

Would you own and drive a car that randomly slams on the brakes, and then removes all drive power? You do!

2020 That’s right, the tech told me it’s an issue common with early models. He plugged in the system, and all the faults were clearly detailed, including the broken fans.

Would you own and drive a car that randomly slams on the brakes, and then removes all drive power? You do!

Just got back from my dealer, and here’s the status: the cooling fans are jammed. Apparently, when the fans don’t work properly, the system shuts itself down under hard acceleration as a self-protection measure. It seems this is a common issue after a few harsh winters (snow, sand, salt…). I...

Would you own and drive a car that randomly slams on the brakes, and then removes all drive power? You do!

Had a similar problem yesterday. Twice in the past few months. In both cases, I was launching the car hard from a stop light (it happen some times...) and the problem appeared while the car was shifting in 2nd gear. Car lost all power and I had to coast until a complete stop. Hazard, shut...

Awesome for backing up the car Not sure when moving forward though... I had a similar rear camera in my GMC truck and always prefered the mirror. You got used to watch a TV instead of a mirror?

    Backup Camera is a POS

Any options to make it better available on the market? :) I kept looking and did not find any For such a great car, I wonder why they were not able to figure out the rear camera better... My Pick up truck is miles ahead ...

[North America] - Get your Tech from a Tech company… Tesla J-1772/Universal charger review

Already have a Tesla Wall Charger (from 2016) installed in my garage. Was planning to buy a TeslaTap Mini for the upcoming Taycan. Is there any any added value to swap my unit for this J-1772 one? Thanks Dave for taking the time to share your findings
