Yeah I figured that while I was typing... But the car's there at the shop while I'm traveling
I decided to have them remove the "guts" and leave the tiny visible items so there won't be holes. $1000 can buy an AWFULLY nice radar detector AND a few steak dinners. And no telling if i fixed it...
Well - it's built-in and hidden - not dash-mounted
The only things visible are two small blue LEDs integrated into the dash- you don't know they're there until they go off
The left one means FRONT RADAR/LASER the right one means REAR RADAR/LASER
There's an audible beep to tell you how strong...
I'm this close to seeing my Taycan : ||
Not that I want to - new condo complex won't allow me a charger and I'm done fighting for and paying for charging
Anyway - I have a built in K40 - in my 2021 Taycan. I got it used (k40), and in the last year spent$1000 fixing it already
Now they want...
Update - I was just wondering "for later"
the car my wife wants is released in a few months and i'll probably get hers then. I'd much rather wait and drive hers than drive one of my work vehicles day in day out
i may reach out to some of the online dealers. To get price points. My dealer...
Sure i've sold cars - private and back to dealerships - but nothing that could have a $10k swing in either direction. WHen you're sellign a 4-5 year old honda you're talking a grand or two difference off of $18,000. With the Taycan i could see offers swinging MUCH more
I had to move to a...
i know this is what the NEW Taycans are getting - but it's not just the batteries on the new ones that's, um, new. motors, electronics, etc - i was hoping for a bump, but didn't expect this. not with 4.5 year old motors and everything else on my car.
before i sell it, i'll do a highway drive...
oh no doubt - but i've had this car going on five years - when the dealer drove it (from 100%) to me 72 miles away and it had almost two hundred miles left on the range/guess-o-meter- i know the range had increased. my old one never even pretended to be able to make it that far. Heck, many...
brand new from ground up battery. And YIKES - i just called the dealer and you're right, the warranty is the original (still goes through 2029 though) and no reset/extended
and your second paragraph - i agree - that's why i was posting here. not sure if it might even detract from this...
they replaced the entire thing. with one that was just made (not one sitting in a warehouse 2 years) - the main reason i had to wait four months - it had to come from germany. (or so the story goes)
SO in a random battery check, my '21 4S failed some tests. SO the dealer had to replace my battery.
Took 4 months, but i'm getting, roughly 40-50 more miles per full charge (tough to tell as I moved and am doing city driving in this obscene cold) - but when they dropped it off from the dealer...
my '21 is ANNOYINGLY hot. if it gets auto-turned on (at low low temps) and i don't turn it off quickly enough, i scream and cuss cause it's too hot to be comfortable.
when i was buying my 4S - i asked about spare tire. they said - "if you can afford this car you can afford roadside service"
so in that line of logic - - -
if you can afford this car, you can afford a house with a garage - LOL
lol - was talking about the wrap lasting 4 years. I'm right there with you with the Taycan though. mine's 4.5 years
My living situation has changed and i am now in a condo, charger-less and I may take a muddier new job soon necessitating an SUV. not sure where i thought I'd be 4.5 years...
I'm assuming that's a matte wrap? Is it also 4 years old? any regrets? I think it looks great - just never talked to anyone who's had it longer than a year
These cars have been out for a while now. ANyone know a solution to remote start (i.e.- pre-heating or pre-cooling) that will save me $300-$400 a year?
And that also don't involve me running out to start my car and then running back in?
It's actually the fastest heating/cooling car I've had -...
I've been paying attention to my numbers - and what people are saying here is what i'm seeing. For the first minute or two or three there's no reading on this, but then it starts somewhere 90-110kWh/100mi range, and drops as i drive. I guess it's just that my drive is so short that it doesn't...
ok - all that makes sense - thank you
so if i MAINLY did short trips in cool weather (40-50°f / 4.5-10° C) then you'd expect this?
33412 - 33315 = 97 miles - i took my charge from 100% to 34% - so i used 66% of the charge. 97 miles / 0.66 = 147 miles (for the whole 'tank')
I guess it's...
