Happy Thanksgiving everyone! As some of you might know, I recently sold my 2021 Porsche Taycan Turbo and got a 2025 Mercedes-Benz G580. I had a brief time that I had both cars, so I did a video review and wrote up a comparison below. I’m not a professional video/youtube person, so it’s not...
Prices definitely creeped up. My well-specced Turbo was $163,970 (-$7,500 fed credit, and no sales tax at the time in NJ). Pricing out the new Turbo, I'd be over $200k, which is why I decided to try a G-Wagon instead. GTS I could have been at like $175k (without active ride), and just as fast...
Ughh.. a few weeks earlier and I probably would have ordered a GTS vs the electric G-Wagon. For the 2025 models, the 4S felt a little slow coming from my Turbo and the new Turbo seemed a bit expensive. Oh well, taking delivery of the G-Wagon this week - we'll see how it compares.
The color, while it gets me compliments all the time, was the reason I went to the auction format since it was challenging to sell locally. To note, I have some offers above $80k, but for sure takes someone to love the bright green.
I have my Taycan on Cars&Bids and they were very adamant about me putting a lower reserve then I wanted. I get it, they only get paid if I sell the car. But just wanted to throw it to you guys here and see what you guys think is the correct "reserve" for this car...
Following up on the bright-green, I got the G580 in the brightest color they sold it for 2025, in bright blue with a matte finish. Should be the first one of those landing in the US.
Car is now on C&B btw. I'd appreciate if you guys can share to anyone who might be interested - comment in the listing, etc..

Super low reserve as I need to sell it ASAP.
The car is now live on cars&bids with a super reasonable reserve (which is below some offers I've already received). Please bid as this is your opportunity to get an amazing deal on this amazing like-new Mamba Green Porsche Taycan Turbo (that is still under warranty for another 7mo!)...
I've really enjoyed owning the Turbo and would buy one again if I had to make the decision again. There is something more special about owning a Turbo porsche of any kind. If you're interested, I'm selling mine (see signature) - it's going on Cars&Bids next week with a very reasonable reserve...
I think i'll still come out on top vs. the lease prices I was looking at, but yeah. I kept the Taycan 3.5 years actually - which says a lot about how great of a car it is.
Hearing the "it's not a common/standard color so we don't know how long it will take to sell" from dealerships now as I try to trade-in my green Taycan makes it sound like PTS cost will not only be not recoverable at selling, but can make it even harder to sell. Let's see how the auction goes -...
100%. I was considering another Taycan, but didn't like any of the colors as much as the one I have now. I was about to list it on cars & bids, but found a buyer on 6speed forum last second surprisingly. The color definitely made it a little bit trickier to sell though :)
I've been seeing all these rumor mills putting this out. From my understand, doing marketing for Porsche, this just means they are now inclined to having an EV Macan aside an ICE Macan - and same for the Cayenne. The shape of the Taycan doesn't lend itself well to an engine, despite the images...
Hey guys! I'm selling my Taycan and just making sure I have everything ready for the new owner. Any quick guides on how to factory-reset the PCM? Anything else that I should do?
Last walk around video of my car pre-sale; still a beauty even after 3.5 years!
