Buyers of New Porsche Taycan Face Wait Times of 6 to 9 Months

All defense related factories were bombed to dust on day 1. Everything else (electronics/mail/raw materials) is back to work.

Buyers of New Porsche Taycan Face Wait Times of 6 to 9 Months

I live here and I know what’s going on. Factories are back to pre-invasion production volumes. Economy needs money. There’s nothing silly about that comment.

    Taycan heater issue?

As promised by the dealer, heater replaced MAR27 in just 3 hours. It feels almost unreal that it can be warm inside ?

Driver's side Charging Port door won't close and Passenger side won't open.

Both sides dead. I had to drive home with it open. Seriously what are these cars made of, cardboard?

So my heater just arrived. I turned my car in for diagnostics on FEB18. Heater issue diagnosed FEB20, new part ordered. Drove a loaner Macan for 2 weeks, couldn’t bear it so turned it back in and took my Taycan back on the road. MAR21 New Heater arrived. Scheduled service MAR27.

    Is Porsche using cheap materials?

This whole “road to 20” thing is ridiculous. They’re openly saying “we’ll milk you all”

Buyers of New Porsche Taycan Face Wait Times of 6 to 9 Months

I find it weird that Ukrainian electronics manufacturers are having issues. All the facilities are in the western parts of the country and all copper is imported from somewhere else. Possible cause might be sea ports but trucking companies picked up the pace significantly (I believe more than...

    HV Battery trouble?

That sucks. I remember their promo videos saying that a battery module swap takes 30 minutes thanks to its clever architecture. Now that you’re saying it’s 3 weeks I’m starting to believe it’s not exactly true

All New electric Cayenne on its way

“Porsche aims to… …develop more limited-run special editions. In addition, the Porsche Sonderwunsch (special request) division of the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Porsche Classic departments will be expanded.” Looks like Exclusive Manufaktur won’t be Exclusive for long, if you know what I mean.

    Heater Replacement Costs

Completely covered under warranty. Was diagnosed free of charge as well. They only charge for diagnostics if you claim there’s an issue and they’re unable to find it. At least that’s how my local dealer works.

Autobahn high speed consumption is good

    So I was going 250kmh and it averaged 60kwh/100km. I don’t think that’s too good ?

Loose gravel/rock noise w/ Michelin Pilot Super Sport 4s?

Yup, same here. 21” Mission E with Goodyear Eagle F1. These things pick up everything and are veeeery loud. But I love the looks, love the grip they give, so I’m totally ok with it. Oh and if you don’t have PPF - get it instantly. Rear bumper and rear doors with quarters will be shredded otherwise.

Ferrari Purosangue looks like a Taycan?

As much as I don't like SUVs, I am quite sure Cayenne Turbo GT will beat the crap out of this in every possible aspect. And if you want a good ICE - 911, get the Capristo Exhaust and enjoy that crispy flat 6 rumble with an intimidating turbo spool whiste.

Had a minute today, made another batch of renders for you guys that have different colors and want to see if it looks good on yours. Jet Black/Gentian Blue/GT Silver/Volcano Grey. Apologies if the shades aren’t perfect, had to do it quick.

Wheel colors compared: High-Gloss Black vs. Bronze Inserts vs. Full Bronze

Yes definitely calipers will have to be repainted as well. Bronze "PORSCHE" lettering and bronze inserts are ?

Wheel colors compared: High-Gloss Black vs. Bronze Inserts vs. Full Bronze

Hi there fellow Taycan enjoyers. So I got a bit bored with OEM colors on my wheels and decided to paint them. I've got 3 options on the table 1. High-Gloss Black 2. Bronze Inserts 3. Full Bronze I have to say I like the Bronze Inserts the most together with rear badge in Bronze as well. Let me...

    No Heating - class problem

Lucky you! Mine’d been in service for 16 days until today. Dealer says no signs of heaters coming anytime soon (There are 2 other Taycan with me in line). So I took mine back. When windows fog up - just 2 seconds of AC MAX - good for another 5-7 minutes.
