Wasn't it someone here that said, according to Porsche, the PSCB rotors are to be replaced at 6 years, mileage not withstanding. If true, that could be what the SA was warning against.
So the lightbar isn't split into pieces on the car? center and turn signals at the ends?
Building a box and making a make shift oven wouldn't be difficult, the real question for me is at what temp will it disassemble without destruction.
Check Digikey or Mouser for SMD LEDs.
I wonder, if you baked the assembly at 400 (or higher) if it would have come apart without destruction of the plastic.
I was going to order a full set of rear lights, turn signals and center bar. I just asked him for a video showing the turn signal animation, which he said via a FB comment reply it would have. He just said the video was on his page but I looked through them and couldn't find any such video. I...
I looked over what you did and I'm jealous. I wasn't aware of the behavior of our Taycans with regard to the turn signal and brake lights. I've been behind another Taycan maybe 3 times in a year. I don't recall seeing any turn signals in those instances.
Seeing it in your video vs how the EU...
I actually let out a chuckle reading your post. I too prefer discreet subtle badging or no badging at all. The spoilers you mention are gaudy and tasteless. They are also pointless since they aren't serving to improve vehicle performance dynamics. I'd even go so far as to include the aesthetic...
Same here. It took me a bit to find the areas where to change settings, like how to assign the steering wheel button, to change the reported MPG/efficiency as miles per kilowatt and to turn on the adaptive cruise. I didn't try Airplay yet but I probably will.
I'm surprised by how much bigger...
I won't know anything until next week. Car will be with them while they explore this along with completing the open campaigns. I also have issues with the main center vertical screen being blank and not booting up. They gave me a Macan EV loaner. My first impression is, I like it. My aging...
I'll have to make an appointment. Just now, pulling into the garage, it squealed while braking which is new. I thought these PSCB brakes were supposed to last a while. I've had traditional iron rotor brakes last 45k before replacement. If these PSCB are done at 22k, I'm not going to be happy.
A noise has developed that seems to be emanating from the front right wheel area when I turn slight left. A sharp left seems to silence it.
The noise is like a chirp and a whistle in one continuous sound. Like it has a slight reverberation in it. Not sure if my camera picked it up.
While...
I have this issue. Dealer said it is likely due to antenna placement. I asked if they have a new part to plug into the car but rather than install it, simply secure it on the car, like taping the antenna to the roof. Not as a fix but to rule out anything else other than location as the issue...
