I'm in the same boat as you (pun intended). I placed my first deposit in November 2021, but incredibly excited to be on the Siem Cicero, it's finally almost here!
I placed my order on November 26, 2021. My vehicle completed production on July 9 and has been in storage since waiting for a 12V battery. Yesterday, October 28, my vehicle finally reached Emden and has a dealer arrival date of December 9!
I have not, only confirming that I'm in a similar situation. My produced car is in storage since July 9 (15 weeks). The delivery estimates have moved several times over the last few months. The most recent delivery estimate at the dealer is December 9.
My car was produced 7/9, arrival in the US is currently listed at 11/25 (btw, I placed my order 11/26/2021). Earlier in the week my SA emailed me. Some reps. from PCNA visited the dealership. He asked them about my car specifically. The reps. confirmed my car is held pending a 12V battery. ??
This is fairly common at this point. I ordered in November 2021, and was initially expecting a June 2022 delivery. My current estimated delivery date is now November 2022. My car has been "production complete" (CP8.0) since July 9, but appears to be waiting for a 12V battery, as many others are.
Mine also disappeared. I found the link in an email with subject “The freeze point of your Taycan is approaching.” and that still provides access to the TYD tracking.
My dealer said the non-refundable deposit binder I had would not work, because it’s not for an actual car, but I executed a signed buyers order (the key is including VIN, etc.) with him today which he said would be sufficient. I am also discussing with my accountant to be extra sure, but feeling...
My dealer says this is unlikely to qualify, despite my having signed an agreement alongside it. He’s preparing a buyer’s order for me that he expects would. I’m also discussing with my accountant for clarity.
According to this Politico article, not a single electric vehicle currently on the market will qualify for the tax credit (due to the sourcing requirements):
The article does go on to say that the requirements could be waived or eased, but the broader point is that the situation is murky, at best.
Hi, welcome to the forum! For the GTS, I've heard delivery times as long as 24 months. Demand is massively exceeding supply right now. If you want the car, you'll have to wait, with uncertainty around how long, and be very patient about it. If that doesn't match your situation (needs...
This thread starts with a false premise, and a lot of people are doubling down on it, and taking things that aren't personal, personally.
First, no one claimed that TYD is a substitute for customer service. TYD is a convenient tool for checking on the status of your vehicle as it progresses...
