I didn't see the guy from the garage do it, but apparently it was a very simple job to get the bonnet closed. I drove it like that for a couple of weeks until the parts arrived from Porsche.
Hi - need some advice please. I had an air leak on one of my wheels and Porsche advised that the wheel was buckled and would be a £1700 repair (presumably a new alloy?). I opted to take it to a wheel refurb shop to bend back into shape, which has improved but not completely fixed the problem -...
Note that the fast chargers are NOT free - which I hadn't twigged...! And you probably don't need them as you're probably there long enough for a full charge on the standard ones.
It was a great day though, lots of fun and great instruction on how to get the best from the car. Switching the...
A lot of the time, when I listen to music on Apple or Spotify via CarPlay, I get really tinny sound with no base - I had to check it wasn' just playing from my phone.
Has anyone experienced this?
Hi, my local garage picked it up so I’m not exactly sure what he did to get the lid down - I think he just removed the hinges - anyway it was a 10min job and fine to drive in the interim.
He then ordered the replacement hinges from Porsche Service which took a week or so and the cost for parts...
I have the Andersen A2 - installation was slick and it does exactly what it says on the tin. The cable tidy is very helpful and cleans the cable as you wind/unwind it so you don't get your hands dirty. The light in the box is also very useful in the dark. I manage all the charging via the...
I had my Porsche Experience Day this week (v good fun by the way) and the instructor mentioned to me that the brake lights come on when you lift off the accelerator with regen on.
Does anyone know if that's true? If so I will use it a lot less, as part of the reason I use it on the motorway is...
I rang my local dealer, Porsche Tonbridge (where I bought it 3 months ago) and they said they no longer do any repairs ? My local mechanic was told by "Porsche Technical" (?) it would be £600 to replace the explosive hinges but had no idea how long it would take to get the parts.
I clipped the hind leg of a deer this morning - no damage to car (or deer it seemed) thanks to the excellent Taycan brakes, but it set off the Pedestrian Protection Mechanism under the bonnet. I had no idea the car had this feature, but it apparently sets off charges under the hood and lifts it...
The high beams on my CT4S seem to have a will of their own. Sometimes they come on almost as soon as I leave my drive, at around 20mph; sometimes only at >60mph; and sometimes as I'm actually slowing down into an area with streetlights... Complete mystery and quite frustrating.
Thanks. To clarify, I have LED Matrix with PDLS+. I rang the dealer this morning based on my experience and the comments here. It does sound like the camera behind the rear view mirror needs to be recalibrated, although he suggested cleaning the windscreen to see if that helped ?
I'm having the opposite problem with my PDLS+ lights. The auto feature is enabled (A in the green headlight on dash), but the headlights don't go into full beam when they should. Last night I drove 8 miles along a mostly dark, car-free A road at between 30 and 60mph. Full beam came on after...
