I suspect OP confused because he’s set Individual (or think he has) and it’s not sticking. To permanently set Individual need to select option button on the lower right of screen. Everything on screen otherwise is just temporary.

I like the ability to display photos on the screen now!

I'm convinced that psychologically it's dangerous to enforce keeping hands on the wheel. Albeit being alert and ready is important. By enforcing the hands on the wheel too much there is potential to confuse the brain. Next thing you know you need to steal, but rather are just being compliant.

While I like the idea of the center storage still, I also realize it's difficult to get in/out of because of design, and find the rear tray much easier. My simple and cheap solution (phone will even slide into place). I do not like any visible mounts up front (nor need my phone up front w/ me). o
