Correct. Though when navigating I do very regularly get messages saying “Maps has not received battery information from your vehicle”, which only started recently. Not sure if that’s related to the My Porsche app having the new toggle, or if it’s some other new bug, or if Apple is finally...
I have EV routing and it (mostly) works. That toggle you reference looks to be Off for me and I cannot toggle it either. Seems like a bug in the app.
If you’ve already tried the instructions at the top of that screen (which involve doing convoluted things in Apple Maps app), and are using...
My understanding is that Gravel Mode allows more individual wheel slip (see eg Out of Spec using Gravel Mode), so it’s not just the height adjustment.

Yeah I’ve also heard the sticker plates are not legal in Hong Kong and do get ticketed.
I don’t like how the California sticker plates (the technically-approved ones anyway) draw all the extra lines for registration placement that is not needed on a front plate. It’s oddly pretending to be a...
Yes I received this message in my Porsche app. Weirdly I never received an email even though I get most of these notifications in email as well.
After an app update this message disappeared from my app inbox entirely so I couldn’t tell my service center exactly what the message said. They said...
Update: Got the new creaks addressed. (Hopefully! So far!)
I'm told that the roof glass replacement comes with an updated set of Porsche recommendations — there are bolts in the rear C-pillar that are meant to be removed and left removed. When the bolts are installed, the upper-cage rigidity is...
It depends on the definition of “V4”. Tesla calls anything with the newer post/pedestal “V4” in the map, but some commentators refuse to go along with Tesla’s (re-)naming if it doesn’t have a 1000V cabinet backing it, which was Tesla’s original definition of the term. There are a lot of “V4”...
Polestar 2 gets better range with one pedal driving off. But it offers a “strong” one pedal driving mode for the driving experience, not the regen. It also offers a “low” that’s more similar to Taycan’s “regen” mode.
They replaced the roof glass. Said they had never seen it before.
Did a good job visually as far as I can tell.
I do have some new creaks / rattles now, hopefully just some trim pieces not quite reinstalled correctly. Need to find the time to bring it back.
I mean Polestar 2 is a significantly cheaper car. The 5 should be much fairer to compare to Taycan.
I had the performance package on my P*2 and while the Taycan takes rough roads and high-speed turns much better, I will say I preferred low-speed handling on the P*2. It came to a stop very...
Oh don’t worry I do agree there’s much Polestar is doing better. Yes, the Polestar 3 and even the latest MY P*2 do have faster infotainment computers. I’m not confident that they will remain responsive throughout the lifecycle of the vehicle, given how little attention their software engineers...
As a prior owner of a MY2021 Polestar 2, I promise you that vehicle’s infotainment system responsiveness is, on its best day, on par with my MY2024 Taycan’s. But usually it’s much slower.
The actual UI is cleaner and easier to follow, but I cannot count the number of times I tapped on climate...
Yes, in low-signal areas it’s an issue. Can definitely tell I get better signal if I open a window. I’m still happy with the thermal properties of the glass though.
This was a point of pride of the whole Polestar brand — putting the emblem on cars in body color. It’s still labeled — not quite a full-on delete — but more subtle than loud contrasting text. I liked it.
Tesla Level 3 DC chargers — Superchargers — will require waiting until Porsche gets access. At that point you can get the official adapter or a third party one.
Tesla Level 2 AC chargers — what they call Destination Chargers or Home Chargers — you can (mostly) use today with an AC adapter...
