I had an early Taycan Turbo S. It was a rattlefest - ten rattles from doors, the dash, the headliner.. creaks, cracks and squeaks. I took it back and got a refund. It was just too much and felt it would be a wack-a-mole.
However ... my 911 991.1 Turbo S rattled.. took 6 months to resolve. My...
Happened to me when I first past my test.. some ... ahem... years ago. I was in a queue of traffic at some lights. Had a mate in the back, turned around to brag about the stereo I'd just put in with its whopping 20watts of power, foot slipped off clutch and I was into the back of the car in...
Kind of acceptable driving a rental car with 100k miles on it and having rattles. Rentals aren't exactly looked after :) I have this feeling that if your Taycan had that many rattles it would have been launched through your dealer's window by now.
I'm sorry to say I had at whopping ten (or more) different rattles, squeaks and buzzes.
Door cards all of them, headliner, seats, dash board, speaker grill passenger side, dashboard near steering wheel, trim above door, seat belt outlets..
Some were quietish. Some, when they happened were...
Hmmm I don't think I have a DM from you? However thanks for the suggestion. I'm not after anything at the moment but always useful to have a list of reputable companies. :)
As mentioned in my post this kind of seam has always been my experience with every installer I've used. I don't really see how an acute angle corner can be wrapped with PPF but it would appear from other members that it is possible.
@awhawton 250 microns is pretty impressive. Do you have any...
I have had several cars wrapped from a "bra" to a full PPF by several reputable film installers. In all cases there were seams visible in places but they should not be as visible as they are in the pic from Dave T. Generally you should see no more than a couple of mm of exposed paint. However...
Burmester in the Taycan is as good a sound system as I've heard in a car and this includes my RS6 with B&O which was superb.
Totally agree - Insulated glass is close to essential. with Burmester ticked.
Great interior, looks like a Taycan on steroids. Exterior is a little strange. Looks big. Perhaps in the err "metal.." it might look quite good. If it were between that and a Model S it would win hands down.
I think he is referring to your comment " 380V 30A, gives me 34.2kW "
W=V*A
380x30=11400W (11.4kW)
EDIT:~
Which would be correct(ish) for single phase but not for 3 phase! (My error) As mentioned by Scandinavian in a later post the correct figure is around 20kW.
This is correct. Andersen told me that to have anything more they needed a 3 phase supply. Even 11kw requires 3 phase. Also worth pointing out that the power company wanted justification for the 100 amp fuse. Andersen asked me to provide a list of power hungry electrical devices so they could...
In the UK most homes are single phase so you get a max of about 7kw anyway. 22kw is doable at many work places where 3 phase is common. I had an Andersen charger installed at home on a single phase supply, I also had to get my supply fuse changed from a 60amp to 100amp.
In practice 7kw is fine...
I would be worried about the work required to fix the problem if it means dash out but I just would not be able to live with a scratched display on a new car. IMO you should keep fingers crossed and get it fixed.
It might be more straightforward to replace it than you think.
You are a higher rate tax payer.. cars is £100k.. You take money out of the company to buy it so roughly £140k to get £100k.. Cost to the company - £140k
However, maybe I'm completely wrong here but the company can claim... half of the vat back on the car AND offset the car against corp tax at...
Cars with CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km are also eligible for 100% first year capital allowances. This means with electric cars, you can deduct the full cost from your pre-tax profits. On a car costing around £40,000 this could amount to a tax relief of £7,600 in the first year...
