OMG an actual over the air update…
I was too stunned to actually pay attention to what it was for, but the notification was rather long and mentioned charging quite a lot…
I installed the FITCAMX the other day…
Looks nicely integrated and seems to work well enough.
i don’t have experience of other systems to compare it to.
They have just updated the mobile app, and it’s pretty straight forward.
Camera turnes on with main ignition, and turned off pretty quickly...
My head up display just suddenly stopped working and now when I turn on and off the car there is a heavy rasping kind of sound for about 5s near the HUD.
Called Porsche…. They can’t book in the car till September!
WTF!
Pha … the car is just needy.
My car does that now and again… it just wants to know if you care enough to go check.
Of course, when you get there, the windows are closed and the app has updated itself, as if to say “Who moi?”
Possibly, though technically, there is no reason why this should be.
I’m pretty sure the car knows exactly where the key is, though it’s behaviour seems to completely ignore this. For sure, when the key is in the car door and it’s slightly open, it won’t let you turn on the car complaining key...
That’s a ridiculous justification.
The car should NOT self turn on unless there is a person in the drivers seat, period.
On the other hand, there are plenty of reasons why I might wish to leave the keys safely in the car on private property, rather than carrying them while I might lose them...
Does anyone else have this problem?
If I switch the car off, get out of the car, leave the keys inside the drivers door, and close the door, there car turns back on.
Surely the car should be checking for occupancy via a pressure sensor in the driver’s seat?
