I had this for a while a couple of years ago, it turned out my number plate had become slightly loose at the front and apparently this is enough to send the sensors at the front haywire. Have you checked your number plate? That was the first thing OPC suggested and to my surprise it was the fix.

This is precisely what I have experienced many times in my Taycan 4S, also with PSCB. It's a very scary experience. It happened once on the way to my wedding, that was fun!

I too have suffered with this same issue, when I took the car to Porsche they claimed they had not heard of this problem before. It's rather terrifying. Sadly I'm in the UK so cannot contribute to this NHTSA complaint.

Could I change the poll time to seconds? What would be the potential downside to that? Is Porsche Connect going to rate limit the plugin?

yes that’s the reboot, I perform it while driving to remedy this and it doesn’t seem to cause any issues.

For me it’s pretty random, I don’t get the error as much any more but after writing my reply to you it happened again that night. It’s a pain but I usually pull over, reboot and then it works for the remainder of the journey and usually quite a few more.

no solution as of yet, I am going to get it looked at during my service next month. If you do the two finger press in the top right to reboot the PCM I find that usually temporarily resolves it

Is anyone having this issue after the uPdate? No matter which route I ask Navigation to plot, a charging plan cannot be calculated. Instead I am left with "Calculating Charging Plan..." and a spinning loading wheel for the entire duration of the journey. This also means I get no predicted...

Yes it happens on all routes. I tried the steps above and I still can't get a percentage charge at destination or any kind of charging plan. This is all I see:

Just got my car back from the latest uPdate (coloured icons etc.) but now I can’t see estimated battery percentage at destination when using navigation. The Navigation display simply shows “Calculating charging plan…” and a spinning wheel for the duration of the trip, never actually completing...

I dropped my car off this morning and had a call asking for the same thing. I never feel comfortable giving out those details and have never needed to do so before but I guess we don’t have much of an option 🤷🏻‍♂️
