hey quick question, can you use this with a Samsung to essentially run android auto on? rather than using the box and setting up all contacts etc in that I would like to have android auto working via the phone. Also did you buy from aliexpress as well or did you manage to get a UK based supplier?

I’ve stopped using mine tbh I’ve got a Brodit mount and have that plugged into the CarPlay usb - I drop it in there every journey - much more reliable than carlinkit and just as easy considering the batt drain with carplay

Normally yes (on the urus it’s worked well) but can’t for the life of me get it to work on the taycan. You can ofcourse press the bottom right corner of the screen when apple CarPlay is on for siri. The rest of the steering buttons work well

I wasnt able to get anything lighting up initially when doing the firmware update, restarted the process and managed to get it working. Follow instructions on the link posted by dnanian above yours.

download the latest version of the firmware on a computer, transfer to usb stick, stick the usb into the full size USB port on the carinkit, plug the carinkit into a powered socket and it will update itself. Re firmware there is a thread on macrumors which had links to the latest firmware

Hi guys so as we all know the MY20 doesn’t have wireless CarPlay yet, I’ve been using this adaptor called carlinkit 2.0 in my urus to get the wireless CarPlay working. Just tried it in the taycan turbo and it’s worked flawlessly!
