Hi Christina, I had exactly the same experience at about 12k miles. The local Norwich Porsche dealership were quite condescending when i had a few episodes of the car not starting- telling me to wait for a bit and then try starting it again (this worked twice). Told me that there was nothing...
Yes I would agree with this too Frank. I had a particularly difficult drive home from Stansted to Norwich on a foggy, icy evening. Needed several stops to charge up. Was quite unsettled with just how quickly the battery was running down.
Have had my 4S for 4 years, 20” wheels. In the warm weather 220-240 miles on a full charge. I was really disappointed during a particularly cold snap last year to find I was only getting a maximum of 160 miles when icy outside.
I know. I am trying to be openminded (I am not really open minded about this).
Thanks for sending me this, it has made me laugh.
The battery episode was a disgrace and Porsche really let themselves down imho telling me there was nothing wrong, just turn it off, let it sit for a while and then...
The look of the car is important to me, the lines of the Taycan are beautiful. Aesthetically it appeals more than any other car I’ve owned. I enjoy the drive, the instant power, and the quiet. All of it. I have enjoyed driving it immensely.
If I get another, it will be red, dolmite silver or white. Having a look and may be timely for one coming into a dealership in East of England soon. Have never had a day driving this one where I have wished for a colour other than red.
If I am completely honest, I love the instant power of the Taycan and the lack of noise. When it has gone in for services / recalls they have given me other non electric models which I haven’t enjoyed (not a 911 though). The Taycan is my first Porsche.
Hi Ian, Yes it has been better since the battery was replaced. Stayed of the forum as was unwell for a bit, better now. Still love my red 4S. Would it be wrong to get another almost exactly the same colour?
I think I already know the answer, which is another Taycan.
We had some teething issues with the Taycan when we got it, that first year seemed troubled with minor things until the battery died.
The Lotus Emira or electre and the Polestar 5 as they are so new, make me somewhat wary of having a...
My Carmine Red 4S lease ends in December. I got her in Dec 2020, and she has 33k miles on the clock. Had the battery replaced in Oct 21, having had repeated episodes if battery failure that was not accepted as true by the local dealership until it died a death amd needed towed. Other than that I...
