I wouldn’t recommend lowering with links unless you’re comfortable with hitting bump stops while driving. I ended up staying stock and avoiding the lowest ride height setting to keep bump compliance in check.
Hey folks,
It's with a heavy heart that I've decided to let go of my CT4S, it's just a fantastic car. I deliberated a lot on this one, as I currently have two EVs (a custom 1970 jaguar and the taycan) but just need something with gas for road trips with the bikes in the mountains with the...
190-220 miles here in 50-65F conditions generally, I don’t baby it but I’m also not speeding anywhere. My home built EV goes farther on a charge with a 76kWh battery.
I did eek out almost 270 miles on a road trip in ideal conditions when the car was brand new. 4S CT with 20s.
One more suggestion if it’s not too late :)
Could we add a countersink to the bottom fastener holes so we can use flush head countersunk screws instead of the cap head screws? That would allow for a dab of epoxy in the Allen hole to make disassembly/theft very difficult. Apologies if I’m over...
Glad they’ve got a wheel lock solution already, thanks for sharing that.
Here’s what I used on my other car - all that’s needed is a hole, you’re right. I’m not sure if it can be packaged in the current design without a bit of an architecture change though.

I’m in for a set.
I’d love to see a way to lock the 1up rack to the rail extensions. On my other EV that has a rack like this, I used lockable ball-lock pins. This would allow for a lock to be routed through the bike and down to the rail to keep the thieves at bay.
Thanks for the data! Rear camber looks alright to me based on similar mass vehicles, I just wish I could dial a bit more in front.
The 3mm clearance is actually about the same to wheel and tire due to the built in rim protection of the PS4 tire and the shape of the suspension upright.

This afternoon I ran a couple quick experiements, I'll go ahead and share the results here for those that are interested.
1. Can 20" rear wheels and tires be run on the front for a square setup?
2. How much travel is there in the rear until we hit the bump stops?
1. Like some of you may have...
The iPhone uses the car’s GPS when CarPlay is active. For a while my car’s GPS was a few hundred yards (2-3 city blocks) off and as soon as CarPlay turned on, my phones GPS would switch from accurate to the same as shown on the car’s native. Turning off CarPlay immediately fixed the phone’s...
I think all of your questions are answered here: https://www.taycanforum.com/chart-taycan-cross-turismo-ground-clearance-heights-with-and-without-offroad-design-package/
You should ask a dealer if you can take a sedan to test the driveway. This will answer the ST question, and given the charts...
You’ve seen one in Marin! Its home is just in Berkeley. :)
I think I saw a volcano grey CT passing on the opposing side of the highway in Berkeley last week. So far 5k miles on mine and that’s the only other I’ve come across.
