    Tesla (NACS) does lock. If you’re using an adapter, the adapter gets locked but the cable can still be pulled out.

    Got it. This I don’t know. I’ve got the color one and that’s what I put back on. I did have to order a new rear emblem (the Taycan and model insignia) as it was very fragile and snapped when it was removed. Porsche checked the VIN and would only sell the correct one for my car.

    Are you talking about the wheel crests? The monochrome ones are standard. The colorized are extra. I keep colored on my summer wheels and monochrome on my winter wheels. The colored are an option when you order the wheels. I’m sure suncoast and others sell them.

    I’ve never heard that noise. it sounds like a signal pulse. Have you tried disabling the analog clock?

    A charging network based solely, or primarily on dealer locations, will be inadequate. I’m I think the EA model can work, but they need better management and investment.

    Spent some time w/ Lucid Air this morning… impressions

    I recently sold my Lucid position at a loss. They have some good tech bits - including market leading power:weight ratio with their motors, but the overall car isn’t compelling. It’s a shame. I hope they get bought out before they go bankrupt.

    If you would pay for the parking anyway then that is a great deal - marginal cost is $0. I charge at home with a time of use plan and it costs me ~$0.05/kWh. It’s practically free. I also have 10kW of solar but I use that for my household loads. The TOU plan for EVs is better, especially overnight.

    Except that isn’t a charger, it’s an EVSE. Porsche is just adding more confusion to that fact.
