It’s possible to use your own adapter at magic dock locations. Pointless, but it will work.
how? i can’t get magic dock sites to start a session with out using the sites adapter - but i’ve only tried at the scott’s valley site.

I did this well over a year ago so it may no longer work.. ymmv

Tell the Tesla app you have a car that has SpC access but doesn’t support Plug and Charge. Pull the cable from the pedestal before you manually activate the session.

Altho my Taycan still will NOT charge at (non magic dock) Tesla SC, I am happy to report that my Kia EV6 now does and it looks to be an official (tho soft) opening!...hopefully Porsche follows quickly but not holding my breath

Edit: KIA officially announced access..so this looks like it will be permanent..

I picked up a 2025 EV6 GTL two weeks ago which has a NACS port. It also charges at Tesla SpCs, but the voltage difference means it maxes out at around 125kW. The charge curve also falls off a cliff around 60% SOC. It’s nice to have this capability but if EA is available and working it’s better.

I agree. My (not a NACS port) KIA charges around 50 at Tesla and often approaches 200 or better at EA...but sure nice to have all those SC sites when electrons get low! EA will be my preferred tho and it's still free

For s*its and giggles I tried using a Tesla SpC with my Taycan about an hour ago while on a roadtrip. If I use the Porsche Taycan profile which is set for with an adapter on the Tesla app it says the location isn’t available (no magic dock). I tried EV6 and Lucid Gravity profiles and both errored out. I’ve previously had success doing this, but I haven’t tried in over a year and never at this location. Oh well! Currently using blink 6kW charger at the hotel.

That sounds odd - it should maintain ~125 kW past 80%.

Our ‘23 GV60P maxes out at ~97 kW at Superchargers but maintains that through 80%…
