Just a little goodbye. Sold my Taycan 4S. Probably the best car I have ever had. Although software issues were always a bit of a nuisance, it was not the reason. My main frustration was the charging on long scenic trips in BC and Alberta (and North-West USA). Usually travelling in groups with...
Hi @robborover , I did the same this week with my 2020 4S . But a happy 3 years. I agree with your points. To add:
9. The opening of the front hood was unpredictable. Never worked when I tried, but opened when I didn't mean to. Using key was best option.
10. Long distance driving with other ICE...
There are a few threads on the Porsche Dashcam and lots of reasons not to get one! By the way, Wifi is needed to get the date/time stamp from your phone. Never worked for me (dashcam dates are often years, months, days, hours and minutes in the future). File transfers are horribly slow and can’t...
Like one of the other members, I just came back after weeks of travel. I lost my favorite online Dutch stations (BNR, Candlelight, Arrow, etc.) but thanks to your suggestions, removing them as favorites and searching for them again brought them back.
Something else has changed though: before...
My 2 cents: go aftermarket. I had my Porsche Dashcam installed a year ago and it simply didn't work - there are similar commens elsewhere in this forum. It doesn't record entire journeys, despite setting it up for it, and for whatever reason, the standard date is 9 years, 30 days and several...
Well, almost a year later, I figured it out. :like: (Nothing to do with SmartLift by the way).
When you are at a location, just press the arrow on your position for a couple of seconds et voila, the current location's address appears, 3 dots appear and you can save the address as a favorite.
Now...
Driving home from work at 16:15. Another 27km to go, which should normally take 24 minutes.
Nav says there's at least 21 minutes delay en route.
Yet, it says my ETA is 16:39. Is this what it is supposed to do - can't find it in the manual?
I recently asked my Porsche dealer if there is a way to increase the current (max 8A on 110V) on a PMCC. I had a dedicated 125V/20A line and receptacle installed in my (strata) condo's parkade by a certified electrician (the building cant handle Level 2 chargers). To my surprise, the after...
Just downloaded this on my iPhone - feels like a beta version as its full of quirks.. any experiences out there?
For instance it asked me to remove the Connect app to get detailed connection information (so I did).
Now my car is charging (with profile) away from any wifi and it tells me it...
I got my Porsche Dashcam installed a few weeks back and am trying to figure a few things out.
Recording when driving doesn't seem to be continuous (ie. complete), although that's the mode I selected. I was looking for scenes from a one hour trip, and they simply weren't there.
Timestamp on the...
Very practical indeed - I'm in my sixties, 6'1, drive it daily, short and long distances, and still love it - I have my golfset and folded push cart in the boot without folding the rear seat, and still room for duffelbag or other smaller items.
If you drive with 4 adults and 2 suitcases daily, I...
Re Driver Seat Ventilation
What was the problem? My car is in the workshop for this now and they told me its a software or programming issue???
Thanks!
Yes i think black leather looks a bit darker - all depends on where you see the car - showroom, outside cloudy, sunny. My personal opinion is that basalt olea looks classier - very subjective!
Havent come across this. Only thing I see is a brief message when I start the car (and i am already listening to an SiriusXM channel….) stating:
‘check SiriusXM antenna’. Just ignoring it, just like the prompt for ‘Ziel’ instead of Destination ;)
Happens to me a lot. I just choose another source or medium and typically starts working again after a few minutes. Also noticed it happens when i adjust the volume while the PCM is sort of booting up when I start the car.
Indeed! We came back on Monday to avoid the typical Sunday Hwy 1 mess - so charging in Hope was easy (never thought of a possible charger line-up) - but it was still a mess on Hwy 1……
