Happy to report some good news today from the dealership service department:
“Although this component is not covered under any remaining warranty on the vehicle, we submitted a goodwill assistance request to Porsche on the client’s behalf. Porsche has offered to cover 80% of the repair cost”...
My 2021 RWD, which is out of warranty, started experiencing this critical warning and automatic shutting down after sudden, aggressive acceleration. This typically occurs on highways at high speeds, and it is obviously dangerous at high speeds to lose power. I took it in for service last week...
So far, the Porsche app on my Apple Watch doesn’t work. It’s activated and shows up on the Apple Watch. But when I open the app it spins far a while and then shuts down. Curious about others experience with the app on an Apple Watch.
I’m experiencing the same issue with my 2021. The right front EV battery fan has been consistently getting louder for the past few months. Interestingly, I’ve never heard or seen the left side fan running.
I’m curious if the left and right fans are supposed to run simultaneously...
Let’s stick to the point. The purpose of this post is to discuss Porsche’s access to the Tesla supercharging network. There are other forums available for expressing opinions about Elon Musk.
I have the Tesla app and have it set up for charging non-Teslas, but I'm not seeing a way to search or sort by Magic Dock equipped Superchargers. Is that possible?
Currently (7/18/23) there is no new update. I called Customer Service yesterday and received this today. Yesterday's email from Porsche was just an alert that there will be updates in the future.
Sadly I've been routinely getting 266 miles at 100% for the past several months this winter. The average temp for the past 60 days has probably been 45-50 degrees, so not terribly cold, although we had a 20 degree week here in late December. This is my second winter with the Taycan and I don't...
You would think that Porsche would set the Tire Pressure Monitoring System in the PCM to the recommended PSI that came with the original tires. Was yours set the 33 all the way aground like mine?
Can anyone advise what the correct recommended tire pressure is for the original Continental 20-inch all-season tires is? The My Porsche app indicates 33 psi on the front and back. The sticker on the inside of the driver's door indicates 36 on the front and 39 on the back. The tires only...
Can someone help me understand why cruise control will not automatically maintain a distance from the vehicle directly in front of you? With cruise control not engaged and the brake regen/recup set to "A" (set from the steering wheel), the car automatically breaks to maintain a safe distance...
Did you confirm that Plug and Charge is selected on the PCM? It’s hard to find. From the Battery icon, press the three dots in the lower right corner (for options). There you’ll see the Plug and Charge selection box. Be sure it’s checked. Mine wasn’t.
I purchased mine from Porsche Silver Spring. Great dealer and some very good people there. Porsche Bethesda happens to be closer to me so i've been going there for service and really like that dealer as well.
