It can. From what my dealer told me there are a lot of cars needing to be delivered. Once it’s exited port, go stalk your dealership, it should be there same day!!
Sorry for the delay, it said released from port yesterday morning and it arrived at around 1:30pm. My SA sent me a video of it being unloaded, like a birth announcement. I took delivery yesterday evening :)
My car is coming to Rusnak Westlake, they have listed the same cars in inventory or "incoming" for a while now, and if you follow the other models, they are dwindling in inventory and not being replaced. Sounds like the port needs a laxative to get the flow moving. In the meantime Suncoast...
I think we are all in the same boat (pun intended). My SA is very communicative, but at this point there is no information he can get on when the cars will be loaded up and sent to the dealers. We are at the mercy of the Port and Truckers and how they allocate which cars go when. Very...
There is another screen shot where it lists each action, anticipated completion and actual completion. They sent you the shipping screen, you need the progress screen.
My SA pulled the progress from their system, not TYD, although they seem to both track inaccurately to a certain degree. My car is in PDI, but that is about all they can say, the rest is a best guess by the SA based on historical timelines of other cars they have ordered. The dates listed for...
The system is not very accurate. Says the ship entered SD on the 29th, but it was actually there on the 25th and my vehicle entered PDI today, leaving the port for the dealer on Friday. My SA says once in PDI it's good news, and typically quick (if no holds) so doesn't think the Friday date is...
I'm sorry, yes they do. Once the car is unwrapped they PDI it, take any computer speed limits off, and wash and typically wax it. I usually have the exterior wash and wax done by my guys who are going to do the PPF and ceramic coating, but the dealership will make it pretty and ready for you.
The cars are typically shipping covered, with certain areas of the car under the "car cover" having a temporary PPF type film (small sections of most concern), as well as bumper pads. The interior is protected as well with covers etc. It's fun to watch it unload and unwrapped, the dealer...
They are making good time through the canal, assuming no traffic, I'm hopeful to the port 11/25, to the dealer (mine in LA) first day or two of December. Once it is in SD, if you are so inclined, you should be able to get a fix from the dealer when the truck will arrive, and you can be there...
In my experience 5-7 days from ship to dealership, if you push them they can PDI it within a day. I always enjoy being there when the truck arrives at the dealer, just to see it all new and wrapped up. Then dealership can tell you when they expect the truck to be delivered. This is all in...
I have a car on the ship as well. Currently set to arrive in Panama tomorrow late afternoon, then off to San Diego. I'm showing arrival in SD on the 28th, but once the ship leaves Panama I'll be able to get a more accurate arrival date. You can track the ship itself using the below link. It...
The problems are real and your post is spot on. Been a continual Porsche owner since I turned 16 and never experienced the range and severity of issues as I did with my Taycan Turbo (2021). Sadly I had to avail myself of the CA Lemon Law and sue Porsche, I turned the car in and received all my...
