Random update: I finally sold my 2022 Tesla Model 3 LR, in a private sale. It took much longer than I anticipated. Didn't make any money. Barely broke even. My evil masterplan evidently didn't take into consideration Tesla's recent price drops and huge new inventory. Oh well.
I really like my...
Since I'm in Canada, I think I can offer a couple more suggestions:
1. Be aware of your HVAC usage, try to keep the cabin comfortable and heated seats, etc. minimized.
2. Reduce usage of auxiliary items (like the passenger screen, if you have one) or rear heating (if unoccupied).
3. Driving...
Hey all. I know this is a bit off-topic but I just took delivery of a Genesis GV60 Performance+ Compact SUV. This vehicle is rare as hen's teeth in North America, so I was lucky to get a slot from the 1,500 vehicle allotment for Canada & USA for 2022 / 2023.
Yeah, I know, the range isn't great...
I've had my Taycan 4S for 13 months now, and I still get lots of looks. In my city (1.2 million) here in western Canada, there are only 12 Taycans. I know -- I asked the dealer. He knows all the owners.
It's a shock to me when I see another on the road -- doesn't happen very often. I do see a...
Listen to your wife. I'd go 4S all the way, even in Florida.
I'm biased as an owner of a 4S, but that little extra power and refinement is just worth it. My 2 cents + tax.
220 miles in a 4S sounds a little low IMHO, but I don't know your driving conditions, etc. My 2021 4S gets 435km (270 miles) routinely at 85% SOC. And I have the epic Mission-E rims. But I drive conservatively and rarely flog the beast. Plus, in winter my range reduces ~30%, when -0 deg C...
Can't resist: a recent one of my 2021 Taycan 4S Cherry Red Metallic.
Amateur photographer here, so I tweaked the levels a bit to make give it an industrial 'monochrome' look. I find the metallic red really changes during the day depending on the ambient lighting. Just love it.
Thanks for the input. Yeah I'm aware of the 100AMP master breaker + adding up all your daily continuous draw, etc. I have AC and electrical HW heating, so that plus laundry and you're north of 50AMPS already.
Unfortunately I like in a townhouse with 12 other attached units and we all share the...
Just thought I'd throw in 2 cents to confuse things further:
1. Vehicle: 2021 Taycan 4S, with larger battery pack. Always at 85% SOC, as manual suggests.
2. Bought the wall-mounted (stylish) Porsche-branded charger + cable ($1100 CDN I think, all in), was very tricky to configure.
3. My Porsche...
I drove my 2021 Taycan 4s all winter last year with no problem. That was with stock all seasons. I was totally surprised.
If I were to do it again I'd get a pair of cheaper rims and put on a good set of Nokkian (non studded) Winter tires, and I would be in heaven.
Actually that's probably what...
I have the same problem. Tires are 100% normal. I was just at the dealer and had my wheels checked etc. -- now EVERY TIME I get in the car I get a red warning about -0.7 BAR or something although I am certain the pressures are within normal ranges for summer driving,
Sounds like I also have...
Just for a friendly reminder, here's my Taycan in Jan. 2022 when exterior temps were about -40 C ... Hopefully this brings some coolness to the people in the current heat!
