Porsche NA delays reimbursement payment for charger replacement

Porsche’s equipment is the issue here. Essentially, every Porsche charger has the overheating issue with the cable. You’ve pointed out exceptions elsewhere to prove the rule, but that’s not how it works. You're a fairly new owner and/or member of this forum, but we’ve all been talking about...

Porsche NA delays reimbursement payment for charger replacement

If the “cheap outlets” are the real issue, then why aren’t other brands’ chargers creating the same hazardous issue?

    Electric Logo on Taycan

Luckily, my brake pads rarely engage the rotor, so there nearly no brake dust. Try again.

    Electric Logo on Taycan

Do lunatics—typically driving pick-up trucks—target EVs and their owners there in Poland?

    Electric Logo on Taycan

Here in the US where I live, there are far too many idiots who see EVs as an infringement on their right to pollute the earth with their ICE vehicles. The badge is not worth the vandalism damage to the car.

Is Porsche Selling Our Driving Data?

Having spent some time in the digital marketing world, I know how much data is out there, and it’s all for sale. But I bristle at the idea that my car manufacturer is profiting not only on the sale of my driving habits, but actually costing me handsomely in the process.

Is Porsche Selling Our Driving Data?

Yep—I’ve worked with the likes of Axciom, which has a mind-boggling amount of data on everyone. However, the fact that I shop at Costco—and that I have a preference for California Cabernets there—won’t cause my insurance rates to increase. That’s my issue here.

Is Porsche Selling Our Driving Data?

A recent story in the NY Times indicated that many auto manufacturers are selling vehicle driving data to intermediaries, which then sell that information to insurance carriers. What sort of information? Instances of speeding, quick acceleration and hard braking. Some automobile owners are now...

To ceramic coat PPF or not to

The Taycan sits lower than a 911, so it’s more prone to getting nicked up by rocks. I’d suggest getting the PPF on the “front clip” and on the SW corner of the back doors. You’ll thank yourself later. Ceramic coating: It makes the car far easier to clean. The topic you haven’t addressed...

It’s my second favorite color behind mine: Frozen Blue. Two close friends are in the market for a Taycan, but both told me they couldn’t pull off Mamba Green. Their loss.

    Taycan Tire Expectancy?

At 20,000 miles, I’m still rolling on the Continentals that came with my ‘20 4S. I might have another 5-7k miles left on them, but am about to replace with a set of Michelin PS4. I’m hoping for better grip since those Contis rattled me a bit when driving in the wet.

[ANNOUNCED] - PMCC tech advisory : charging rate amperage lowered for "normal" usage of the PMCC (rate reduced by half)

In just the past two weeks, my charger—set at 38 amps—has stopped charging the car at about 50 percent. The cord and handle of the of the unit get very hot. Not great, Porsche.

Lessons From a Serial Upgrader: Taycan 4S --> GTS --> Turbo

Regarding air conditioning control: the easiest way to change it is to say, “Hey, Porsche…I’m cold.” Then the car turns up the air a bit. “I’m warm” cools it off a bit.
