before doing that, what about removing / unpairing / deleting the iPhone from the car s PCM devices ? Has anyone tried this? I m not at the car now so I can’t try that
it must be more evil than this.
-2 phones with iOS 17.4 , one fails , another works (model age is irrelevant)
- my iPhone 14 Pro Max was activating the remote parking just fine, until Porsche rolled out that pos of v10
so it cannot be iOS dependent, nor can it depend on how old the model is...
what drives me crazy is that 2 days ago at the dealer, they activated the remote parking function with 3 other iPhones (!) without a glitch. using my own account, credentials etc. I tried a few seconds after and no f way. my app was failing no matter what. we waited 5 mins, they tried again and...
Thanks. I don't precisely know but I think that there are 2 different kind of BT connections to the Taycan. The first is under settings--> BT "Taycan_1234". This one manages the PCM connection. I just activated this, before I was simply using a usb cable instead. This BT connection works...
Yes. There are a few screenshots already in this thread. E.g. message 206.
The evidence collected so far :
- the remote parking via app does not work for some people , the other app functions are ok
- as one clicks on the bottom steering wheel icon in the app, the app fails to connect to the...
thanks. I was thinking about it, but it's a royal pita. I m afraid I have plenty apps which upon factory reset will require various ways of re-authentication (banking ones, work ones, etc etc, I do that every time I change to a new phone). Plus BT works very fine with any other...
Update on my end (turbo ct 2023, iOS 17.4 iPhone 14 Pro, porsche app 10.1.1, latest versions of PCM)
spent 3 days at Porsche Swiss HQ. Lots of Taycans. Received update WN etc. my iPhone connects to PCM via BT. Also the other my porsche app functions are all OK. Everything works except REMOTE...
I just asked for an appointment, let's see (loaners are hard to get in CH, it s a spoiled market). You are, I'm afraid, very optimistic about the fix :).
Likely. My guess is that the the first assistance team (those who received my ticket) is made of poor clueless dogs (same via phone) who have prob never even seen this car (or any other model) in person or been trained for that.
Tbh, the nearest dealer 5 mins away, HQ of Porsche Switzerland...
Just got an answer from Porsche Customer Relations, which translates more or less like:
"After further testing by the Technical Department, we recommend that you contact your Porsche Center for comprehensive support regarding the Remote Park Assist function in the MyPorsche application. They...
ah, this I know. happens to me too. you have to do it a few times and it will finally work and show you a bunch of upgrades. try when the car is stationary rather than driving. you could argue that devops at Porsche is a pos (making it dev-pos). I say that, for how clueless they are, the app...
Confirmed. In my case it no longer even tries to connect to the car, simply says "vehicle not reachable" while showing all the other updated info (e.g., state of charge, windows, pre heating, etc) ie the vehicle is in reality connected . bunch of German amateurs (in the negative sense :))
Same for me, it seems (seemed) to work decently - the car was even steering a bit to fine tune the (self) parking maneuver. Now the connection with the app is broken, regardless of how close I stand to the car. Are you still able to use it after the app update?
Posting here because it seems related to the app update. While it s faster and has an improved layout, it broke the remote parking feature. Specifically, it broke the connection to the car. It stopped working right after the update. It shows “no connection“ for 3-4 times, then it hangs on...
Hi All,
I'm in Switzerland, would like to add a roof box to my CT turbo and accept the 50 kWh/100 km which is reasonable. Ski trips >2 passengers are a pain.
Could anyone please advise if there s any way to get a compatible roof box in the same color of car body (kreide/chalk)? the OEM stuff...
ABRP is what is says on the tin: a route planner. Decent overview of charging stations and alternatives along routes. The rest is garbage, live data from Porsche, SOC estimates, UX/UI (ugly AF), CarPlay integration etc. all peppered with countless bugs :)
I’m still subscribed for sentimental...
