Just as an aside, a compass is one of the customizable options on the right circle in the center dash display with the battery charge level, battery temp, etc. I have it set and like it a lot.
Yes, please provide us with your dealer and sales person. I'm interested in purchasing that same type of warranty for my 2022 Taycan GTS. That seems to be a very good price.
I’d like to purchase Active Lane Keep (ALK). I have ACC so I should be able to add it, but Functions-On-Demand (FOD) doesn’t seem to be offered through the Porsche connect site anymore. Does anyone know what is going on?
I'm not sure how long your garage actually is. However, my garage is very short and tight. With the front camera, I can pull within 1" of the wall allowing me to fit in my garage.
The front end of the new Base and 4S lost all the beauty of the Gen 1 model. The Turbo and Turbo S look okay but Gen 1 is stunningly beautiful. Porsche really took a step back in looks With Gen 2. On the other hand, they have made a number of noticeable performance improvements. However, nothing...
Dr. Colorchip is an awesome way to fill in chips and scratches without any touchup paint ridges. Completely color matched and their process just puts paint in the chip/scratch divot..
I don't have any hard data to point to, but I too think the PCM paying Apple Music sounds better than when I use wireless Apple Car Play. I assume it has something to do with the bandwidth limitations of wireless Apple Car Play transmitting the audio.
Can someone clarify this heater situation for me? Is the heater defective and Porsche is holding all new vehicles for the "fixed" replacement heater? Do existing cars have defective heaters or was this just a bad part that was received by Porsche on new production?
I'll pass along my knowledge for what it's worth. However, I haven't ever owned a Tesla, so I cannot speak to that.
1. The Taycan will charge around 9kwh on a 240v50amp circuit. As I understand it, the Taycan can charge up to 11kw on an 80 amp circuit (but the standard included Porsche...
I had the same problem. My car also lost connectivity to Porsche Connect services. It required a software update at the dealer. There is an open campaign on the issue.
I had the same question and I found it surprising how little Porsche or the Dealership provides in instructions. I have the base PMC+ and it has worked flawlessly at the full 40amps. I had my installer put in a 240v 50amp plug 15-50 socket. I get 24 miles of charge per hour (about 8.2kw/hour)...
I’ll be taking an extended road trip in my Taycan GTS after Christmas from Wisconsin to Washington DC. I’m wonder what my expected range will be at 75 to 80 mph in the cold (20-30 Fahrenheit) loaded with 4 people and luggage? Also, it seems like some of the chargers in Pennsylvania are 60+ miles...
I'll second these comments. I have a Taycan GTS with the standard breaks as well as a 718 Boxster. My Boxster has break dust on the wheels after nearly every drive. My Taycan has almost no break dust. I assume the regenerative breaking keeps the pads from being used except in rare instances...
My car has a parking sensor button at the bottom of the haptic feedback screen by the arm rest. When you push the button the cameras display on the screen.
Interestingly enough, I have a Taycan GTS with the PMC+ that was delivered in July of this year. It charges at 8.4 kW, which seems to imply 30 amps. Looks like they made an adjustment for new deliveries.
