    Gen 1 Taycan Support Group…

The front end of the new Base and 4S lost all the beauty of the Gen 1 model. The Turbo and Turbo S look okay but Gen 1 is stunningly beautiful. Porsche really took a step back in looks With Gen 2. On the other hand, they have made a number of noticeable performance improvements. However, nothing...

    Touch up paint recommendations?

Dr. Colorchip is an awesome way to fill in chips and scratches without any touchup paint ridges. Completely color matched and their process just puts paint in the chip/scratch divot..

Need some negotiating ammunition for tomorrow

Manheim MMR is $87,100 with estimated retail of $99,900 for a 2022 Taycan 4S with 10,000 miles. Grade 4.8. Good luck!

    PCM audio vs CarPlay

I don't have any hard data to point to, but I too think the PCM paying Apple Music sounds better than when I use wireless Apple Car Play. I assume it has something to do with the bandwidth limitations of wireless Apple Car Play transmitting the audio.

All Taycan deliveries being held at port due to needing new heaters

Can someone clarify this heater situation for me? Is the heater defective and Porsche is holding all new vehicles for the "fixed" replacement heater? Do existing cars have defective heaters or was this just a bad part that was received by Porsche on new production?

Newbie confused by all the charging options

I'll pass along my knowledge for what it's worth. However, I haven't ever owned a Tesla, so I cannot speak to that. 1. The Taycan will charge around 9kwh on a 240v50amp circuit. As I understand it, the Taycan can charge up to 11kw on an 80 amp circuit (but the standard included Porsche...

Taycan won’t connect to my Porsche app

I had the same problem. My car also lost connectivity to Porsche Connect services. It required a software update at the dealer. There is an open campaign on the issue.

Setup question for the standard 2022 Taycan charger (US location)

I had the same question and I found it surprising how little Porsche or the Dealership provides in instructions. I have the base PMC+ and it has worked flawlessly at the full 40amps. I had my installer put in a 240v 50amp plug 15-50 socket. I get 24 miles of charge per hour (about 8.2kw/hour)...

    Range in cold temperature weather

I’ll be taking an extended road trip in my Taycan GTS after Christmas from Wisconsin to Washington DC. I’m wonder what my expected range will be at 75 to 80 mph in the cold (20-30 Fahrenheit) loaded with 4 people and luggage? Also, it seems like some of the chargers in Pennsylvania are 60+ miles...

Considering GTS Upgrade - Brake Question: stopping power, dust level, replacement mileage longevity?

I'll second these comments. I have a Taycan GTS with the standard breaks as well as a 718 Boxster. My Boxster has break dust on the wheels after nearly every drive. My Taycan has almost no break dust. I assume the regenerative breaking keeps the pads from being used except in rare instances...

My biggest problem with the Taycan -- backup camera

My car has a parking sensor button at the bottom of the haptic feedback screen by the arm rest. When you push the button the cameras display on the screen.

[ANNOUNCED] - PMCC tech advisory : charging rate amperage lowered for "normal" usage of the PMCC (rate reduced by half)

Interestingly enough, I have a Taycan GTS with the PMC+ that was delivered in July of this year. It charges at 8.4 kW, which seems to imply 30 amps. Looks like they made an adjustment for new deliveries.

    Paint touch up…

Dr. Colorchip works incredibly well for small paint chips. When you place your order, you give them your exact model, year and color, so the color match is spot on. I really like this option, since it doesn’t leave the normal “dot” you get from a brush touch up as this method only fills the...

11 Days of Taycan GTS sedan ownership

Your car looks great too! Can you share more about your mileage? Looks like we have the same wheels, so I'm curious. I'm getting closer to 250 mi on a 100% charge based on the car's estimate. Are you city driving or highway driving mostly? If on the highway, what's your average speed and...

11 Days of Taycan GTS sedan ownership

Here are some pics of my Taycan GTS that I too delivery of recently along with some impressions. I can honestly say this is the best sedan I have ever driven. The car drives like a sports car when pushed or a quiet luxury cruiser when on the freeway. I own a 718 Boxster as well and the Taycan...

Does interior leather option lose GTS stitching on headrest?

Thanks for this information! Can you share how you found this out? The configurator appears to remove the GTS stitching when the full leather is selected. Zooming in on the headrest in the photo seems to show that nothing is on the headrest. Even if the stitching was the same color, I would...

Does interior leather option lose GTS stitching on headrest?

It appears on the configurator that switching from the standard Racetech interior to the leather option causes the GTS logo on the headrest to disappear. Does anyone know whether the GTS logo on the headrest goes away when the leather interior is selected?
