If you are using finance, the decision is a no brainer. The residuals for the GTS and the Turbo are within 5% - 10%, so add £20-£30k day one for a Turbo but the GFV/equivalent will only be £2-£3k more. I was quite shocked!
P2P is violent/brutal acceleration - "Normal acceleration" feels just as fast as the Turbo - I have never for one instant felt it less powerful than the Turbo. It is much more nimble and sporty than the J1 turbo - but this is not always good with English roads, as you feel it more!
I have gone from Taycan Turbo with the Turbo wheels to the Taycan GTS with the larger GTS wheels. Two comments:
1. Burmester is a much better system - I always jack up the base but in the Burmester I had it on +1 only. If you have yours jacked-up all the way and are still not happy then it must...
Some very initial thoughts on my heavily discounted end of 2025 GTS purchase v the existing Turbo which is on its way back to the finance co soon (£15-£20k under water):
1. The J1.1 is prettier - the lines are more flowing and exotic. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I think the...
I've gone from Turbo to a 1.2 GTS in Purple Sky. Collecting 22nd. No Burmester and no massage seats will be an adjustment but £35k ish off brand new. Hard to say no.
BTW as a follow-up on this, the Guaranteed Future Value for new is really quite shocking even with these temporary discounts. Circa £39k for a GTS. What is even more interesting to me is that the GFV for a Turbo which costs £30k more than the GTS? Circa £39k! Hard to see how these stack-up for...
Anything New in stock that has been in stock for 140 days + has crazy discounts until the end of year... GTS and Turbo more than lower specs. Get off the fence if you are tempted and call your dealer!
Discounts on new are being offered on new 4S as I asked about used - end of year fun. I will not share how much but appreciate any DMs with what people are seeing. What do people think of stepping down from an "old Turbo" to a new 4S? I have only driven a regular Taycan other than the Turbo...
The Lender is Virgin Money, they won't sell directly, I have asked and offered £55k (above market!). I may try and register for BCA and monitor auction sites for it. Saw the Im5 today, OMG no. Just no.
So I erring towards the used one I included the link to as it has Burmester and Massage but...
2022 Taycan is coming up on the finance end of this year - £72k remaining to be paid and £50k value. This car has all the extras we enjoy, most notably Burmester and Massage Seats (that actually work, versus most other cars) which are quite rare in the used market.
So should we:
1. Pay out...
As above, on the climate screen I would pull down the tab and have very handy short cuts, primarily used to activate Android Auto. These have now gone, I assume after a recent update. Has anyone else noticed this? Any suggestions as to how to get the shortcuts back please?
Thanks!
I am coming up for three years. Heater failed early on and the brakes, but otherwise has been excellent. Add to that Porsche opened a new garage local to me, so the support is excellent. My frustration, as we all share, is in the "value". I went for a fully-specced Turbo with Burmester etc on...
