  1. Forum members from 2020, 2021, 20222: do you still have Taycan?

Yes, still got it. Basically because of the depreciation and I still like the car.
  2. Switching from 20” to 21” wheels - anyone done this?

This is very much my experience. 20" better for everything but personal taste available at the time.
  3. Things I hate about my Taycan

It was not Innodrive, but ACC.
  4. Things I hate about my Taycan

Been involved in software and software user experience for over 25 years, and I've used the Porsche charging setup as a case study in how not to design an interface. It's that bad. Yes you can learn it, that's not an excuse.
  5. Things I hate about my Taycan

I've had a map update been applied to my Tacan whilst driving using cruise control and as soon as it pinged on the screen it decelerated really fast, like using the brakes fast. Luckily no one was close behind me, and I can't prove that the two things are related. My wife was not impressed.
  6. Anyone else find reversing a Taycan in the dark almost impossible

Yeah it’s difficult. More times than I like I have to get out and view the area I am reversing into.
  7. New 2025 taycan lost grip - 4 wheel slide

winter tyres are not just for snow, they are for colder temperatures and helping cope more with ice and snow. I change to them when it starts getting below 8C. Michelin pilot sport 4s not broken in, with cold air and road surface temperatures are going to be a bit tricky.
  8. Add a tracker where to tap 12V

No I haven’t. Like I said I will be there soon and will ask. There seems to be lots of these standards bodies for all sorts of things. Thatcham is sort of the UK version of the SSF - no doubt they make something ( and it’s not even on the side) when testing an alarm system.
  9. Add a tracker where to tap 12V

I can't see that PVTS is even an option as most insurance companies in Sweden want a device that meets the standards of Stöldskyddsföreningen (SSF) and I have found no information that PVTS will be accepted, just that all certified by SSF devices are. It is a short list of devices that are...
  10. Add a tracker where to tap 12V

Thanks for answer. Found out that it already had one, but will run out in 6 months and it's old tech (2G). So will see if I can find it and swap it out.
  11. Add a tracker where to tap 12V

I am looking at adding a tracker to my Taycan (Bought in 2022) for insurance purposes. I can't find that the PVTS is recognized by insurance companies so I can't use that. Anyway the models that I have been looking at mostly need a 12 volt positive and negative that is on all the time as you...
  12. Are 14 way seats comfortable?

I found the 14 way really uncomfortable, enough that I would t have bought the car. Tried out the 18 way and they are perfect for me. Going to repeat what others have said, it’s personal and you have to try them to find out which is better.
  13. Charging to 100%, why not?

What about for the next owner(s) and to make sure that the batteries don't wear prematurely?
  14. Buying used Taycan. Options to avoid

I am pretty sure the real reason is margin/revenue. Not having a spare of course changes how you can package a car, for example increasing the potential for space. And it’s sold to us as weight saving. Porsche is very profitable for a reason. GMA I personally think has the most refreshing...
  15. Buying used Taycan. Options to avoid

When I bought, a lot of the options I wanted were included on the Turbo like WuffvonTrips said, but there was the part shortage going on so the Turbo was prioritised (I got mine in 4 months) with things such as the matrix lights and the electric steering column adjustment that you couldn't even...
  16. Buying used Taycan. Options to avoid

Yes, and its the main reason that I optioned it. In Sweden they put out a huge amount of coarsely cut gravel on the road in the winter and it goes everywhere. Didnt want that down the side of the car. There are very few options perhaps possibly none that should be avoided. But its highly...
  17. Anyone regret going from 20s to 21s?

I have 21 summer wheels with the Goodyear whatever comes from the factory and 20 winters that are pirelli NF0 rated. Noise is more dependent on the surface than the difference in tyres, but I would say the 20s are slightly noiser ( and I have the thermal insulated glass ). However the ride...
  18. Tow bar crunch

Damn sorry to see that. My dealer went on a Taycan training course and I am pretty sure she said that they tried the collision detection with auto braking and that it only works if you are not braking yourself. And that was the hardest thing, because as you are about to hit something you want...
  19. Anyone looking at the new Lotus Eletre as an alternative to the Taycan?

Heavy, inefficient, ridiculous amount of power to overcome it’s weight and its stupidly large. Its a Lotus in badge only (which apparently they had to make larger than normal). Disappointed to be honest. Just another stupid electric car design. Electric Macan depending on its price point will...
  20. Michelin PS4S - Another take

I have the Goodyears on my summer wheels ( 21 inch ) and they seem fine until it gets cold which is to be expected. The thing is I have no reference to compare them against, apart from the Winter tyres but they are so different (Pirellis 20 inch) for a different weather condition and all the...
