I may be crazy here, but the Taycan was my first nice car ever and I ended up selecting almost every option. I find that, for me, not going all out is more likely to lead to regrets as compared to going overboard.
With that said, I'd at least consider the Performance Package, Massage Seats and...
I have had this happen several times over the 12 months that I have owned my 2022 4S. Generally in a day or two (!) the Passenger Display returns. I am not suggesting that that is acceptable but since getting dealer service slot is likely 3 weeks away, it is unlikely that i would be able to show...
Most of my friends were shocked, as buying an expensive car is very much out of character for me. But all were happy (I think). I think my family is still surprised. My wife's cousin is a wealthy woman who is very comfortable spending money and she told my son that she was thrilled when she...
Fun Post. My unexpected favorite is the Heads-Up Display. I don't know how I lived without one in all my other cars. In addition, I think Porsche did a nice job on this one. My SIL's NX-450+ and my buddy's Ionic 5 have HUD, but I much prefer the implementation in the Taycan.
Every once in a while, particularly after charging, I get a similar cascade of warnings. I ignore them and the next time I start the car they almost always clear on their own.
That is true, 80A per leg. Still a very large current draw compared to usual home loads. In the past two years, the highest power draw at my home was 14700 W, with a peak current on one of the legs of 68 A. This was only for a brief period of time as an AC compressor kicked in. I just get...
Had a similar consideration when my son installed his EV charger. He was gung-ho for a 100A charger, but I tried to apply some fatherly advice. He had a brand new 200A panel installed specifically to allow for a high current Level 2 charger, but even so, 100A per leg continuous is a huge...
CA has decent availability, although trips to central CA require planning and some range anxiety. We will be taking trips to the western states and possibly to Texas by car.
Interesting, I just returned the Macan loaner I had for a week and I did not care for it. The noise, vibration, shifting just annoys me now. I drove it like an old man and I still got a comment from the wife when the Macan shifted and the slight lurch caused her coffee to be disturbed (she...
Complaint mode engaged!
Ingress/Egress. My wife and I are small statured, so easy for us but not our passengers
Backup camera distortion. I drove a buddy's Ionic 5 and I loved his surround view options. Made precision parking very easy. The Taycan is so long and wide. I still struggle to dock...
I have a ChargePoint Flex and am very happy with it. So does my son and two of my neighbors. I have never had an issue charging the Taycan, or any other vehicle (this is our 6th EV).
I am very pleased with the ChargePoint product.
Finally found a remote space suitable to try it. Once. I was underwhelmed.
If I accelerate faster than my wife's eGolf, my wife gives me the death glare. She does not like the feeling. I am more playful with anyone else in the car, but never use Launch Control.
I am seeing a similar white clouding in roughly the same location. Not quite as bad, and only in one area. I may try to use one of the methods suggested in this forum to see if it helps.
I ordered it with my vehicle and I like it. I often have back seat adult passengers and they are always playing with it. Perhaps it keeps them entertained. I think t enhances the look from the rear seat.
