Based on the questions you are asking, I would recommend you stick with Tesla. My wife drives a model 3 and would have the same concerns. Tesla has the "EV" part of the equation nailed but doesn't build a driver car. Rather than an EV, I wanted a sports car that happened to be electric. I wanted...
your edges look great. I had a white Taycan 4S done in stealth PPF. how does it look near the tail ight? there is a really tough edge that i was told is impossible to wrap with the PPF so i ended up with a seam. Not perfect.
see circle below. was your seemed here?
I have a friend who specializes in taking shots of cars. I challenged him to capture the true essence of the pearl. I'll send them out after i get them back.
The wrap was $8000. I had other quotes up to ~ $11,000. The stealth PPF is really difficult because it is much thicker than standard vinyl wrap. Ensure the wrapper is going to "bulk" it rather than using the standard cuts they use for gloss PPF. Otherwise, you will see some gloss coming through...
Looks great. Reputable paint shops where I live want about $5k US to remove the pieces, prep, paint and reinstall. I guess the entire bumper needs to come off. Afterwards, sensors need to be recalibrated at the PD which I am sure isn't "free".
If I can make it 136 miles going 100 MPH without getting pulled over, I'm good. I'll push it home and be happier than driving my wife's model 3 a million miles.
I'm not a huge fan of the black plastic skirts and spoilers but I get it. It is a wear surface. I am resisting the urge to spend $4k to have them taken off, sanded, and painted gloss black. I figure they will just get chipped in the end and I'm would to spend a bunch at the Porsche dealer...
I started with a white 4S
I had the following done:
- Full stealth PPF wrap (the deep satin pearl effect is really cool but I will tell you that this was a very difficult wrap to apply. It's really thick and hard to work with. They had to do the front bumper 3X before it was perfect.)
- Wrap...
I recently moved to 22" Vossen HF-5 wheels with Michelin 4S tires. What pressures are people running these at? BTW, loving the set-up. Clear satin stealth wrap. Crappy pictures, I know. I'll post more when we get a nice day up here in Seattle.
