My son is 6', maybe 6'-1", and plays football. I'm looking at the 4s sedan. Are the rear seats big enough for my son plus one other large teenager? Used CTs are way too $$ here in N. California.
Hi! I'm in the market for a used Taycan 4s. 2021, 22, or maybe a 23. Any recommendations on which year will be most reliable and have the latest updates? I think its a '22, but I'm not 100% sure.
Thanks!
You went airborne and had no injuries! Key statement. I'm glad for you.
I went airborne (t-boned by a drunk driver who fell asleep in his truck). I flew across four lanes into a gas station, broke the gas pumps, and gas was spraying everywhere. It was a miracle that there was no fire (the fire...
After waiting for a year for my GTS, my financial situation changed, and I never picked mine up. Painful but better than stressing about being overextended. Smart move, but still, such a bummer.
My M4 is a hard top convertible -- while not as heavy as the Taycan, it's +700 lbs on the F80 M3 (mine is ~4,300). So I wonder if I will feel the difference as much as on the M3?
Hi all: I talked to my rep at Porsche today. I let her know I could not take delivery of my GTS. She said I was her second just today. We talked about me switching to a CT4, which both my wife and I like. I'm just a little worried about the acceleration of the CT4.
For those with RWD Taycans...

Hi All,
Sadly, I am giving up my Taycan GTS due to arrive next month. It was a stretch for me in December 2021. However, given the current financial conditions, I can't muster the funds for a $179k (inc tax in California) purchase.
I will beg and plead with my dealer to get my $5k deposit...
Today TMD updated, showing my car on the boat early and is to be delivered to me on December 16th!
It's decision time -- tricky with my financial picture suffering the same problems as most of us my wife is looking to me to defend the purchase by showing her my cost per year is not too much...
Understood. 61% is a pretty good residual. My options package is large, but I think most of them are desirable. Can you send me your thoughts on my options? Here's the list:
Options ones good value:
--Rear Axle Steering
--Premium Package
--Thermally & Noise Insulated Glass
--Technology...
Mr Smith: thank you! Indeed, that residual seems low.
QUESTION: If you were estimating solely for your own financial planning purposes, what residual would you apply to a GTS at 36/10k?
Thanks!
Has anyone recently leased a 4s or GTS in the US? and if so, can you report on the residual value (at the end of 3 years or if a different timeline, please indicate it)?
Thanks,
Actually, hearing about the low insurance rates is an eye-opener for me. My wife and I have perfect driving records and are paying more than 2x any other rate mentioned here. Maybe I need a new insurance broker :)
It's my first EV - It's hard to get used to the idea that ongoing costs are so low. But this is good news indeed!
Did you have any thoughts on my 5-year residual estimate that the car would be worth 60% of new value at year 5?
Thanks, I appreciate your input!
