Thanks. The timing actually works well for me, as the car was scheduled (before *this* most recent delay) to arrive a bit before our first overseas post-COVID isolation vacation. Now it's scheduled to arrive mid-vacation. Saves me from sleeping in front of the dealer waiting for them to prep it...
According to My Porsche my CT4 has been build (manufacturing completed 5/10) and arrived at the German Port bound for California on 5/12. It is listed as leaving the German port on 6/16, over a month later. Is this normal? Or is there a hold (again) on the cars leaving the port?
Pic for...
When I say this don't get me wrong, I like the ad and the picture (one more than the other, I'll let you guess which): But I write my own material. And I have more than my share of experience with restraining orders.....
You could have saved time and asked "should I date/marry/have an affair with/stare at/get a restraining order from either (1) the girl that looks like every other one (gray) or (2) the hot girl (Neptune Blue)?"
And I'm not biased because I ordered the last Mamba Green CT4. Mind you, if Mamba...
No, a henway is heavier.....
I'm a retired family court judge and mediate divorce cases now. You guys could keep me on retainer. You know, to help pay for the Taycan.....
I've had my CT4 order in since April of last year. It locked Monday, April 3. March 28 I sent in a build to my sales dude (who I like very much) and didn't hear anything back, which is unusual for him. I forgot about it for a few days and remembered, somewhat panicked, because it changed the...
I both agree with this and also think this applies to every decision on a Taycan, and even which model. An optionless base model Taycan would be great and have every "must have" option already. And it is fast enough. But if you want something faster, you get the S or GTS or Turbo or Turbo S...
So you're saying the internet is just like being married....?
(Which reminds me of one of my favorite jokes: If a man, alone in the woods, says something is he still wrong?)
A little late to the party, but.....
My CT4 order is for my second new Porsche and my first EV (my wife has a Tesla). The first new Porsche was my first new car ever, a 2014 Cayman S that I custom ordered. My philosophy for ordering that car was similar to yours, although our priorities may be...
When I sent my sales dude my new CT4 build I reluctantly included Burmester because I want a good sound system but decided not to go aftermarket and Bose does not even show as available on the configurator. He emailed back with acceptance of the build, sans Burmester--another apparent supply...
There are a lot more on the West coast (California is dirty with them) and possibly in the Northeast (DC to Boston). Even the casino I go to for poker has them.....
Colors are a matter of taste, as B61 said. He doesn't like black interiors but for me it is the only way to go. My CT4 that locks in a couple of weeks is Mamba with black leather and green contrasting stitching. Perfect, in my mind. Because colors are a matter of taste.....
I had a Racing Yellow 981 Cayman S. By the time I sold it--after 7 years and 100k miles--the color was what differentiated the car from all the other used Caymans out there; it sold for at least a 10% premium over the black/silver/white/red Caymans. The irony is the dealer tried to talk me out...
I have an order in with a southeast dealer for a CT4 at MSRP. The dealer requires a refundable $5k deposit. My local dealer subsequently was able to give me an allotment for delivery at around the same time; I am going local simply because I like the local sales dude and buying local--although...
Interesting point(s) @McgR and @bsclywilly. I've had one new car in my life, my 981 Cayman S (two for my wife). When I ordered the Cayman I was very careful to keep it under budget and avoided (almost) every luxury item and included (mostly) only performance items like sports suspension and...
I don't normally drive my wife's Tesla (Model S) but I was today and thought that an optionless CT4 would be around the same price and undoubtedly much better.
