Base Taycan range: less? more? or average?

You could get an ODBII and check the SoH of the battery. All necessary information here : https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/baseline-for-hv-battery-soh-performance.12815/ It seems a bit low, but it depends on many parameters: wheels, weather, the way you drive, downtown/highway, ...

    Comfort Access

i find I find it quite handy actually, like today for instance : one hand holding the umbrella and the other one the (heavy) shopping bags that i didn't want to put on the ground. it works fine with the feet not under the center, but slightly on the left. And not moving too fast.

Official: "The Most Dynamic Taycan of All Time" debuts March 11

any new version of Windows (for instance) brings its new list of bugs. I don’t expect the JII to be less bug free than JI. They’ll just be ... different bugs 🤷🏻‍♂️

Official: "The Most Dynamic Taycan of All Time" debuts March 11

🤔 I would go for a 911 GT3 RS if I'm looking for THE performance.

    High consumption after first start

yes... in combination with a pair of gloves, winter jacket, and something to demist the side windows and windshield 😯 I'll keep the AC on 😆

    High consumption after first start

a 8hr trip : heater was mainly on when approaching the charging stops and preheating the battery for fast charging. It won't add much at these speeds on highway

    High consumption after first start

yes ... and no. As an example, if we assume the heater requires a constant 3 kWh, - driving at 100km/hr, assuming we need 20 kWh to move the car, the total consumption would be 23 kWh / 100 km - but driving downtown at an average speed of 16 km/h, with the same consumption of 20 kWh, the total...

    High consumption after first start

and the last test this morning: - very similar initial conditions: outside temp. slightly higher than yesterday (9°). battery temp. (8°) one degree less - exact same trip - but in Range mode with AC (set on auto 21°) Heater did start high, and worked during the whole trip, while inside temp...

    High consumption after first start

Well, conditions were slightly different this morning but it doesn’t affect the conclusion IMHO. Car was slightly coverd by a thin layer of ice. i never use ice scrappers so i decided to use the preheat to remove it before starting the car. After 13mn, SoC went down by 2.7%. But the battery...

    High consumption after first start

but before that, I repeated this morning's test on the way back home. Only one difference: the car stayed underground the whole day (where temp. is about 17°C), and the battery reached 12°C I have to go up several levels before reaching the street, requiring some power in the very beginning...

i’m a bit of data freak too ... 😅 croissants are the best you could eat: they are from a … Japanese patisserie ! He makes marvelous cakes, chocolat, etc… Better than everything you could have in France ( and I’m French 😅). He got several gold/silver medals in international competitions...

    High consumption after first start

first test this morning 😉 - car didn’t move for 48hrs, parked outside. Battery temperature was at outside temperature (4°C). both temperatures didn’t change during this short trip (<10km) - no preheat, no heated seat, no AC, no music, no sport sound, … only headlights needed - started the car...

    High consumption after first start

I'll do 2 tests then: one in range mode (tomorrow) and one in Sport plus (the day after) and compare. That'll be downtown, only a few kms. But it'll clarify if the battery is heated or not depending of the mode I'll only have to wear a thick coat 😅

    High consumption after first start

Temp. is expected to be close to 0° C tomorrow morning. I'll have everything off so heater doesn't start and I'll report the numbers ;)
