The app now requires a subscription in the App Store in order for all of its features to be unlocked. Beta testers get a promo code though, so DM me and I can send you one :)
New Nuts & bolts newsletter is out with the changes from v1.10 through v1.15 summarized: https://open.substack.com/pub/electricsidecar/p/v110-through-v115-roundup
Also a sneak peak at an upcoming improvement: CarPlay widgets!
The TestFlight build (#93) no longer functions due to the Porsche Web API being turned down last week. The latest App Store build supports the new Porsche vehicle APIs and you can install it via the App Store.
If you've been beta testing build #93 and I haven't sent you a promo code as thank...
http://electricsidecar.app supports OBD + Taycan (see http://electricsidecar.app/scanning/ for full details). You can pull SOH without payment and if you'd like I can send promo code as a fellow Taycan owner :)
Web API just went down today. I have thankfully been working on migrating to another endpoint and will submit it to the App Store for review today, should be live by tomorrow.
Ah ok there’s hopefully something we can do then. Can I get you a TestFlight build so that we can try to resolve the bug? DM me and I can send you the invite link.
Unfortunately these captcha loops sometimes happen but thankfully they seem to resolve themselves after 24 hours or so. One thing that sometimes helps is logging in on Porsche.com from the same network.
I just noticed the same thing with my fronts at ~15k miles. The outer edges are nearly flat; I'll have to check the middle of the tires to see how they're doing. My fronts range between 36-38 psi typically.
v1.10 is out now with expanded support for Shortcuts. Release notes are available via the Nuts & Bolts newsletter at https://open.substack.com/pub/electricsidecar/p/v110-shortcuts-parameters and a full technical guide is available at https://electricsidecar.app/shortcuts
I've added all of the reported failures from this thread to https://github.com/ElectricSidecar/Porsche-Taycan/issues/15, bringing the total # of failures on this forum to 46.
Porsche Connect is the product that all of Porsche's connected vehicle services fall under (trips data included, as it's sourced from your car), so I'd expect that all functionality on the website will be turned down unfortunately. I'd love to be wrong though!
This will break all third party integrations that rely on the web APIs. Major bummer, as they don’t currently have an open api alternative similar to Tesla.
