I think I’m just going to keep my Taycan GTS until the Model S is available in RHD then leave Porsche. Reason? Over the last 10 years of multiple Porsche ownership the technology is sliding backwards, costs rocketing and we still don’t get OTA updates - apart from maps!
You say that but, let’s not forget, simulation is a wonderful tool and we know Tesla will be the King of Simulation and AI. I wouldn’t bet against Elon. . . .
The question I would like the answer to: “Is Porsche selling cars that they know are faulty and then letting the customer have all the inconvenience associated with that failure”. I am of course talking about heater failures. My 2020 4S had a heater replaced. I then ordered a GTS - expecting...
Maybe not a car magazine but I do have the 1969 New Scientist magazine covering the moon landing😊 Does seem a long time ago. Never kept that many being weekly so only digital now.
Funny I had the same thoughts about my GTS following my 2020 4S until the heater failed just before Christmas! I remember we ordered about the same time for collection last year, so I suspect your heater is also ready for failure. The good news, a different version is being fitted and - with all...
Oh I totally agree I’ve been more comfortable in the 18 way. In fact that’s why I changed as my previous Taycan was uncomfortable. I only found it a problem on the longer journeys.
My one regret with my GTS has been the 18 way seats over the 14 way. I’m sure they are absolutely fine for 36 inch waists, but for us, slightly larger and older bodies, a little too hugging. OK on the short journeys but painful on the longer ones.
Really important!!!
If you get an Enterprise car make sure to take photos, video etc of every inch before accepting it. They take you card number then charge you for damage. I was lucky I had proof that a damaged tyre was present when delivered, only because of my photos. They then refunded the...
Maybe I’m going to be lucky? Knowing the site principal well after many years of buying Porsche and putting up with lots of trouble with my previous Taycan, could also help. Maybe!
Yes the first response was phone to have the car transported to the centre, but I held out as there was no way my...
Update: Yes heater fault. Have been over to the dealership as I wanted parts ordered before Christmas and they confirmed a replacement is needed. Symptoms I was seeing: No cabin heating, just cold air. Drive battery temperature close to ambient and pre-heating not working.
The good news, they...
What you are showing is what I expected to be how the power is maintained. Maybe the GTS is closer to the upper limit and not able to provide the BHP as the voltage reduces. If that’s the case, Porsche should have mentioned it in the specifications.
I’m not so sure. There is no reason why the Taycan couldn’t be designed to give its maximum power at its minimum battery voltage. Let’s be honest, 650V plus is way higher than Tesla’s 400V system and we know the power they can generate.
