2020 Taycan 4S Reviews Are Here! (Articles & Videos)

Dee - I don't know what Panamera you are driving but my 2015 Turbo S gets about 500 miles range on road trips (depending on speed – more if I drive slower) but at 75/80+mph I get that kind of range. So I am afraid i must take a big exception to your comment about range on the Panamera. I drive...

    Couple of questions about spec

There is a thread about Alcantara on the steering wheel in the Ferrarichat form and the general consensus from those who had it, was that it did not wear well so likely not good for a car that is going to be a DD.

Porsche confirms cheaper Taycan models coming by year end

I get, it the top end models have the most profit which is important to the "bean counters" to start recouping R&D expense ASAP. Also the top end models help selling the lower end models for those who want a look alike for much less $$$$.

Porsche confirms cheaper Taycan models coming by year end

Are sure your sales rep still works there? My sales rep has contracted me several times and I have contacted him several times as well.

Thanks for the info. Thats $215k in the US, you might be better off getting the Turbo S as many of the options are included in the Turbo S base price, did you try both trim levels? Perhaps there is a price differential for the Taycan in Europe? The US base price for the Turbo is $150k and the...

If you don't mind saying what was the final price with all the options in euros (exchange $.9028 to 1 euro? I priced out a Taycan Turbo at $180k+ and a Turbo S at $202k+ with similar the options I currently have on my Panamera Turbo S. Quite a bit higher than I had expected. That’s the same...

OK, I am envious that you about the special tickets, you must be a VIP at least with your local dealer. Please report back your impressions, it is refreshing to get opinions of those w/o any spin. So often even reviewing “third” party magazines (press) have a vested interest and are not reliable...

I am in a similar position as yourself, same deposit down. I also am pleased with the looks and most specs of the final production model BUT my concern is the smaller range than promised (500k/300 miles vs 240 miles now advertised) as well as the price which was originally suggested. I am...

So, This Is A Bit Disappointing For Us Early Adopters...

Your response is so weak, it and you are laughable. I am very amused and find you banal comments most entertaining keep up the good work.

Get a life! Your language and comments leave much to be desired and add little content.. If you don't want to hear the waling don't tune in. This is a pretty much free flow forum and it seems most everyones comments are at least civil. Not sure anyone cares much what you think in any event.

My Local Dealership Might Be Stretching The Truth A Bit....

The original Mission E advertising literature had the 300 mile range and the 80% charging statements. Many of the folks including put $$$ down based partly based on those statements. That may only be the top end trim “turbo” but I think Porsche is committed to those parameters and would be...

    Taycan Q&A

Yeah but we all put our $$$ down on the Mission E with all the accompanying tech promises. So when those things change some of us are also re-thinking our original decision.

So, This Is A Bit Disappointing For Us Early Adopters...

Well when you have more cars than drivers by a wide margin (2 drivers and 5 cars) you have already gone well beyond the boundaries of practicability. So yes, looks is VERY important to me. All my cars look good and most already go very fast and handle great. So what is the motivator to get a...

So, This Is A Bit Disappointing For Us Early Adopters...

Agree, the C8 looks really good in the pictures but still haven't seen the actual car. But the mission (no pun intended) for a 2 seat GT is not the same as for a 4dr/4seat car. I doubt it is anywhere the same set of buyers.

Nah, there are plenty of good ICE cars out there if the Taycan is not to your liking when it is finally revealed in Sept. No rush to go to an EV if the Taycan is not what I expect or want. Or just stick with my Pano TS for a couple more years.

New Review from Australia "Which Car"

Pretty close, I got US $200,737.43 at the Australian dollar trading at 1.43471. IMO that is too much for the Taycan Turbo S. You can get a ICE Panamera for that kind of money and not have to worry about new model gliches. Also way more than a Tessla S which already has somewhat of a charging...

How many of us are current Panamera owners?

I currently wn several Porsches including a Panamer Turbo S. This would be the car i would replace with the Taycan if I elect to pull the trigger on the deal. However when I was at the Porsche Experience Center in LA for the Taycan sales present, it seemed to me that many of the others at the...

Taycan drops camo revealing headlights, tail lights, rear side window

I am sure it is no accident that all the mules are black as it seems very difficult to see the lines of the car. Also harder to see stuck on camo, so it seems way to early to make very definitive derogatory statements about the styling IMO.

    Possible Taycan color options...........

The stripes look pretty cool but not likely on a Taycan as a DD? But a full rap could be the ticket if one wanted a very custom color, especially if the masses were not likely to find the color appealing when resale time came around.

Taycan Dealer presentation postponed to January 2020!

When the Mission E/Taycan introduction gets continually pushed back it does tend to throw cool water on everyone’s enthusiasm. Hard to keep hype going for multiple years IMO. But I guess better to have a good result rather that bring on a model which has a lot of quality issues. It would...
