Did anyone install a 12v socket in the frunk? Would like to know the steps involved.

searching on “12v” on the forum did not help since the years 2022/2023 were plagued by missing 12v batteries and lots of thread were opened.

not on the topic of how to install one in the frunk, but on 12-volt socket in general.

According to the User Manual, on page 229, it states that the maximum load capacity for single outlet is 20 Amps, which multiplied by 12 Volts, gives us 240 Watts potential. If you are also using center console outlet, then cut that Amprege in half. Now, if you connect a 3rd outlet in the frunk and use the existing fuse for 12-volt socket, be careful about the system.

I had the entire 12-volt system replaced twice and it was not the fuse that went out. Some kind of other damage, probably related to overheating the contactors.
Notice the design of the 12-volt adapter that Porsche wants you to use. It looks odd when comparing it to 12-volt sockets i see in the US. Read the risk of damage to the electrical system part and compare the adapters you will be using to those.

I ended up buying NOCO GC020 12 Volt Plug 2-Way Splitter, not for the splitting part, but the design of the end closely resembled the one in the Porsche's Manual.

I also noticed that the metal end on the NOCO Adapter is not as hot as on my 12-volt electric pump which is untouchably hot to touch after a 15 minute session.
No issues since i use the NOCO Adapter.
