Recently picked up a lightly used 2020 TTS, car is great but tires (21" all season Conti ProContact) suck, quite possibly the worst tires I have had on any car....
Not very stable, bouncy, sloppy tracking, slippery when wet, tire pressure checked/fine but think the tires are just inadequate for the car. Should feel planted but doesn't despite PDCC/RWS etc...Quite a stark difference coming from a RS6 w Conti DWS06.
Discussed w the dealer, seemingly they heard similar comments often on these tires.
Might get a set of dedicated winter w 20" wheels next winter, good all seasons typically work well here in tri-state area, we get some snow but rods are cleared quickly.
Disappointing/limited choice of tires for the Taycan
Alternatively might go try Michelin Pilot Sport AS4, they are available for the front in 265/35 and correct load, however rear only 295/35 vs 305/30 OEM.
That's approx 3% under read on the speedo (assuming not using front wheels), width is fine for the wheel and plenty of room in the wheel well for extra 0.9" height
Tire Size calculator
Has anyone run that size on the rear? They are SO much better than the Conti from previous experience.
Thank you

Facing this same issue now in NY. Unfortunately the 265/35/21s seem to be perpetually out of stock at Tirerack.

contemplating 255/40/21 & 295/35/21 which are good diameter matches to one another but concerned if the 29”/29.1” diameter which exceeds the 20” & 21” stock diameters (by 0.3” from the bigger 20s) would cause rubbing problems on the fronts when they are at full lock or issues when air suspension goes into low / lowered.

Yeah that’s the Mercedes tire which is only available at Tirerack and still on back-order. Would then have to pair it with either matching 275/35/21 (even longer back-order) or the 265/35/21 (even longer back-order still) ?

the 255/40/21 & 295/35/21 seem to be made in the US as opposed to Europe and are readily available. The front diameter at 29” works me though.
