I believe the extra horsepower basically compensates for the extra weight so acceleration from low speed will be the same but higher top speed would be expected and probably better acceleration at high speed.

I find it a faster car with the performance battery, do a test drive with all 2.

It has been widely discussed on this forum. Get it for better resale value, better acceleration at higher speed and improved range. Don't get it if you like a less heavy vehicle or don't like the extra costs

We have it. It's worth it. An extra 20-30 miles of range actually makes a huge difference. The larger battery and the faster onboard charger are a must have.

How many miles do you drive a day / week? I drive less than 10-20 miles a day and have the standard battery. I charge at home once a week ( maybe ) 0-60 is same with both batteries and Im not concerned about resale. I live in South Florida so my range does not fluctuate with changes in weather. If you live in a cold climate I can see wanting the extra range. FYI, here was my range yesterday after charging to 100% for a longer trip im taking today.
