Charging issues at home

it was CYA before Porsche decided to recall the PMC+/PMCC and provide a new NEMA 14-50/6-50 power supply cable - setting the unit to 50% charge rate:

• doubles your charging time
• lowers the heat the unit generates
• lowers the chance the PMC+/PMCC nominal operating temperature will melt cheap NEMA sockets…
• the APB6 tech bulletin was never meant to "fix" anything - but mitigate risks while Porsche decided what to do next…

the unit has issues and really really isn't Porsche's best effort.

My dealer in Westchester County, NY, won't have the replacement cable until AUGUST, and even that's not certain. Seriously disappointing service by Porsche.

Well just got the APB6 new cable, came home. And the cable pins are opposite way. So when you plug into wall, the panel faces the wall, and also can’t fit it’s own wall box. Dealer says that’s how they got them and will inquire.

this doesn’t seem right. Anyone else also got cable with pins turned other way.

Especially now that everyone got (or can get) $600, just get almost any other EVSE for that money and store your Porsche one for when you trade it in, so you can keep the non-Porsche one for your next EV.
