I initially ordered an Andersen but before they could install it they entered administration. I then discovered the Simpson wallbox, and impressed with how they looked, I ordered one. I haven't regretted it once. The equipment looks and feels *very* premium, and you have more opportunites to personalise the look. The only issue is the cable isn't hidden away. However, this isn't an issue for me as it's at my mum's house and gets used once per month when I visit for a week at a time. I usually charge the car once or twice during that time, so it's actually better to have the cable untethered and stored away in the garage when I'm not there.

Seriously, get the Simpsons EVSE. It's a very well-made and premium product, and the app works well too.

I've decided to go with a (tethered) Zappi 22kw, that can be shared with my wife, when she gets an electric car. That way I can keep the Porsche EVSE in the car for when I'm travelling further afield.

I hope I've not missed a trick here?!

Just one question, when using the Zappi, which port do I use on the Taycan - I'm thinking about location of the charger (and whether I will drive into the garage or reverse in).

Sorry for hijacking the thread!

The Simpson charger looks good BTW!

Thanks for this. Feeling more comfortable with the Simpson. Honestly when I called Anderson the man who I spoke to was clueless and I worried significantly about future and customer service!

I had a few questions regarding the Simpson's EVSE, but when I contacted their customer services, I always got a very personal reponse back via email. Didn't feel like a customer services department, more like someone pretty high up. I guess they can do that when they're a relatively small business.

I use a Zappi and find them very good. I valued it as it has hard keys and PIN code supports, which helps me as mine is installed in a large shared apartment complex underground car park.

As its an AC charger you can use either side charging ports on your Taycan.
