If you will have less than 30% tread depth difference on the new tire and your other tire on the same axle, you don't have to replace the other tire.Sooooo...... 2 months later - hit a pot hole and ripped the sidewall in my front passenger side...
Massive bang and tyre lost pressure immediately. Pulled over at the next opportunity only to be greeted by another stranded car with the RAC - 'haven't just gone through that pot hole have you mate?'....
Another £600 to replace both half worn fronts. I have raised a clam with my local council; funnily enough the hole was fixed within 24hours following my claim?!?
