- 2012 BMW X5 - 2021 Taycan - 2022 BMW X5 45e
I made the mistake of speccing our garage addition with a 16' instead of 18' double-wide door. Still I find that getting the Taycan into the garage next to the wife's X5 is not a problem - placing it within 1-2" from the edge of the opening doesn't require any particular skill. That then leaves about 22" in-between the cars when parked, which makes egress from the Taycan ok (but all passengers need to get out before parking - I don't trust anyone not to smack the door into the other car or assorted junk in the garage).
I think someone sufficiently skinny and flexible (not me) might be able to get out of the Taycan with ~12" of space on the driver's side.
