Rear camera liquid cleaner not hitting the camera on cleaning but license plate

Does anyone know how to fix this?
It used to work, but not it doesn’t hit the camera at all anymore

I have had exactly the same issue for a couple of years.

There are some threads on this. The consensus seems to me that the nozzle can be dislodged or disturbed easily e.g. when jet-washing. I assume your nozzle is still intact but pointing too far down.

See here (with Thread 1 possibly the most useful):

1) Thread 1
2) Thread 2
3) Thread 3

I tried a few times to wiggle the nozzle. I gave up for fear of breaking it (or breaking it more). (I do not have a Porsche Warranty and live in some fear: eek.) At my 4-year service, I asked my local OPC to take a look, in case there was an easy fix (and if they properly broke it while fiddling around I would be covered). The cost of investigating was exorbitant, so I did not instruct this.

But the main reason for not following up further was that, whilst 4.5 years on - and with the numerous recalls and heater issues - I love my car, the rear camera was/is fairly useless anyway, particularly at night. I try to clean the lens when I remember. The rest or the time I use my mirrors, the reverse warning beep, my judgment, and a bit of guesswork and hope.

Let us know if you are braver or more proactive than I am and get it fixed!

Please post a picture of the camera/washer. Here's mine (copied from Thread 3 in @travisfickle's post above).

Thanks to this thread I discovered I can clean the back up camera from the cabin.

Unfortunately, when I push the wash button on the screen (mine's a coupe, not a ST/CT), I hear the pump running but no washer fluid is expelled. Yes, the washer fluid tank is full.

I'm guessing it has lost its prime since it probably hasn't been used much, if ever, anyone else have this issue and if so, how did you resolve it?

Cheers.

Damn, I have the exact same issue. I've removed the plastic shroud to fish the washer valve and put it back but it's an incredibly tight fit, and I cannot put both the camera + the washer valve correctly at the same time. Need to figure out a way of keeping both item in place while working on putting back the shroud

I spent an hour trying to fix this myself and miserably failed. The main issue is that there are two plastic pieces that house the washer and the camera. These pieces clips together from the font and back of the bumper to lock and secure all items. But it's impossible to reassemble that without having proper access to the piece at the back of the bumper. And since I don't know how (and probably don't want) to disassemble the bumper, I'm stuck with going to my dealer to sort this out.

Found this thread https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/rear-camera-washer-problem.11647/#post-240629 so I decided to try again... and I managed to do it!

It's extremely fiddly, the outer casing needed to be inserted in the exact right angle, otherwise nothing lines up. And after that, the piece at the back needs to be pushed forward very hard, using you indexes through the disassembled licence plate lights until both pieces clips together. That part hurts the fingers.

But I'm very happy to have managed to fix it myself :)

Not sure if has something to do that I am in US, but you can't interact with the camera module on mine. There is metal on each side of the camera that doesn't allow you to be able to get to the inside piece. I guess would need to take the bumper off in order to fix it.
