Hi All - First post for me. I negotiated a deal on a new 2024 4CT a couple of weeks ago in San Jose, CA. I received notification today (July 30) that the dealer has the brake line recall parts and can deliver the car tomorrow. I hope you all will be getting resolution soon as well!

I am not showing any recalls either online or in the app any more. There are two recalls clearly open: charger cable and the brake lines.

Go to the service page on the website, scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see a box for checking recalls. Click there, put in your VIN and open recalls should display. Recalls are now completely hidden unless you actively search. Porsche is so full of crap. They constantly say how customer service and the ownership experience are paramount. How does that square with hiding recalls that they can't even perform?

Took me a while to locate it, but I found it. Only shows the brake lines as open recall and no charger cable.

https://recall.porsche.com/prod/pag/vinrecalllookup_V3.nsf/VIN?ReadForm&c=usa

Dealer said they cannot perform either since no parts for the brake lines yet and charger cable replacement requires charger software update that they do not have. This is Tom Wood in Indianapolis.

Thanks for the recall link.

TLDR; check your under carriage before taking your car in, unless you're looking for a $72K+ bill, to pay for your own loaner, to pay storage fees for your car while they hold it hostage, etc.

I am not sure what choice I have. I will have to be at the dealer for the Brake Lines recall and 20k service and the first thing is to go through the scanning machine that takes pictures of everything. I am in very good standing with the dealership having them go above and beyond to take care of things on other cars, but Taycan could be a different story.

Time to have that protective plate repainted to hide any dents and scratches....

If you are not able to change dealers, perhaps the one lesson to take from the other member's experience would be to make sure you don't approve ANY work unless they give you a complete quote (money and time, since they charge for loaners if you don't agree to expensive repairs) what it would take to put it back together to the same state.

Another ARB0 repair complete on my new 24 GTS. Located in South Louisiana. Just drove her home…what an incredible machine! Thanks to those on this forum who counseled me through my impatience over the past 6 weeks while waiting and waiting for the new brake components to arrive ?

It seems Porsche is prioritizing parts for inventory cars vs. existing owners. Anyone surprised?

Same in switzerland. At what is probably the biggest dealer in the country.

I was directly told by my dealer porsche does not have this part on invetory for cars on the road while scheduling my car for 2 recalls, this one included

Most parts are probably going to the MY25 cars that haven't shipped yet and are ready for shipping, or invetory on hand at the dealers.

Gotta milk all the money you can out of these taycans if you're a dealer, heh?

Beverly Hills isn't. So I had another dealership pull a GTS from them. Picking up tomorrow :)

Beverly hills treated me like crap. I'm not going to write a yelp review but they were awful
