2021 RWD 9K flawless incredible miles. This question came up yesterday when we were loading the car realizing how small the front trunk is.

What, if anything, occupies the space where the front motor/gearbox/electronics would have been? Sure would have liked a bigger front trunk.

I feel like you’ve missed the opportunity to call it a frunk

I’ve seen people put a small cooler in there. My friend uses his for Jackets, blankets, towels, umbrella, etc. All the extra stuff that you never have when you need it.

Hope that helps!

Below is a schematic of the front of the car showing the inverter and electric motors. This would go away if there was no front motor. But there are other pieces of equipment in the same area, so would require a redesign of the front end to free up space. Cheaper to not do this.

In this topic (link) you can see there is not much space left. Even without a front motor I think.
