Steering feel worse on 21s vs 20s?

Moved from a 4s with 20's shod with pilot sports to a gts with 21s with goodyear eagles.

Steering feel on both nothing to write home about (no suprises there with electric steering) but definitely heavier and more lifeless on the gts - both running at correct tyre pressures.

wonder if switching to pilot sports would help?

All else being equal, the lesser the sidewall, the less tire deflection in cornering,;so if your tires were identical other than size, you would have better steering feel with the 20” tires. Your idea of going 21” Michelins should assist your handling and steering feel.

are the tirewalls stiffer on michelins? remember when I had a lotus elise s1 - standard fit pirellis had super stiff sidewalls but were lethal in the wet. switched out to michelins and steering feel was muted. still off the scale compared to any other car but not as granular as the pirellis
