Has anybody whose car was in storage in Germany awaiting a 12V battery had their car delivered yet?

How you, guys, know when you car has been build ??
You do have an app for, here in Belgium, and I bet in continental Europe, Nothing/Nada, unless you contact gently the car concession. So ordered in 11/2021 , supposed to be delivered in June 22, then then then, and finally End of December or early January 23.
I keep faith, there are most serious happening in this crazy world..

I call my dealer almost every other week to ask for an update. They don't seem to mind. That's the sales person who sold me the car who checks the system for me and gives me an update.

Yes, an app makes sense because then I wouldn't have to bother him but on the other side, as long as they don't mind, they stay friendly and provide me the information I'm looking for it is also fine with me. I guess it's what they prefer in terms of having lots of contact points with the customer.

Mine is now planned for end of November in terms of arrival at the dealer. I asked for some extra's (XPEL stealth wrap, other colour brakes, dashcam post install - wasn't an option when I ordered) so I have to wait a bit longer then. I assume it's getting the battery soon or has received the battery in the meantime.

I went to the My Porsche web page and registered. I then got informed of 5 phases of the order. 1 was the order, 2 was the Porsche experience at the PEC in Silverstone, 3 was approved for production, 4 was car completed and 5 was leaving to the dealer.
In my case entered production was 16 April
complete was 30 July
leaving for dealer was mid August, I forget the exact date but the dealer asked me if I wanted to take delivery on 1st September, then news it was in storage awaiting 12V battery, latest estimate is arrival at dealer 25th November.

If you register for My Porsche you may be able to follow this information for your car if it is similar in Belgium.

these spy cam shots of restyled taycan make me laugh & cry ... WE (batt delayed etc...) will received an OLD taycan - but brand new :CWL::CWL::CWL:
war, inflation, ESG etc... whatever: I believe we will all agree , Porsche is not handling it properly - and they seem not to look for excuses anymore ... "Sie warten" and that is it

In my case, the battery arrived to the dealer this week, but the car is still stuck in Germany with no visibility on the delivery date
I understood the ships are all RORO so not sure how a car without a 12V battery would be loaded and unloaded from a ship if it couldn’t move under its own power (let alone turning it on to shift into neutral). And then getting it on a shipping truck at port would be another impossible step without a 12V battery. They would need some temporary or portable batteries on hand to orchestrate this which seems unlikely at any kind of scale.

What a cluster. Sorry y’all are seeing such delays.

This is an unexpected variation on what I thought the situation was.

I thought all the battery-less cars either were in storage in Germany or at dealers (only in some countries) and the ones at dealers had a chance of getting a battery since the dealer could and would chase it up.

I hadn't heard of dealers getting a battery but not the car.
Maybe they will start doing it that way round - once the dealer has a battery ship the car to them to fit.

If that is the case it may help to have a pushy dealer chasing batteries for their customers!
@f1eng actually my dealer has no clue where the car is. He was surprised to receive the battery before the car.

No ship needed in my case. I am in Paris the cars are delivered by truck.
Also I do think there is some kind of battery in the car because I see it « green » transmitting data in MyPorsche app

Ah, that makes sense, my apologies.

The green light doesn’t mean much. I had a green light in my app while my car sat with a completely disconnected HV and 12V battery for a few weeks while awaiting a part.

I have not, only confirming that I'm in a similar situation. My produced car is in storage since July 9 (15 weeks). The delivery estimates have moved several times over the last few months. The most recent delivery estimate at the dealer is December 9.
My vehicle arrived in Emden yesterday, October 28!

Hi. Got confirmation that my car (entered body shop on 27 June!) was completed 28th October and will arrive next Friday to the dealer. So I am happy!

Small problem is that next Friday is national holiday in Poland and almost nobody is working so probably will be delayed few more days.

I wonder if you had other delays resulting in your car being held up until 12V batteries were actually available on the production line by the time it was finished. Mine (theoretically) went into the body shop on 16 April and was completed except for 12 V battery on 30 July and prepared for shipping 16 August but still hasn't been.

A completion date of 28th October probably means it never went into storage and you are one of the lucky ones to have your car still in the production line when the 12V batteries started arriving.

Anyway it gives a bit of hope, but so far still nobody with a car in storage in Germany with no 12 V has reported a delivery.

Haven't heard about any other problem with missing components to my build. It is simple build: leather interior, 14th way seats, other things that are standard in other brands, and those matrix headlights. No Bose sound.

I would have it completed and delivered in April as the build slot was in March but I was affected by shortage of the matrix lights so I went for the May build slot. We know what happened next.
