Engine was running while I was smoking a cigarette. That’s what slowed it down the most.

Were you also taking the time to build up as much static electricity as possible before once again touching the pump?

I brought my slippers so I could shuffle around for a while but I couldn’t find much in the way of carpet. Next time I’ll bring some of that too.

My company's vehicles are still gas powered, so I occasionally get the opportunity to use the good old gas pumps. I really like that the soles of my shoes smell of gas for the rest of the day. Mmmmm...gas smell....
